Random Win: The irl Fuck Ya thread

Saw my doctor yesterday and confirmed my hip pain issue. The win here is that we have a real diagnosis and may now know why it happened. The pain began last August when I began doing C25K. I have never ran in my life so I was working out hard with this program 3 times a week. Since I'm overweight even after losing 40lbs, my joints still were having massive pressure put on them. We think that's what caused the back flare up and eventually the hip pain..

Frustrate hear but fixable which is most important. On 800mg ibuprofen 3 times a day in addition to getting physical therapy. The other win is for the first time in months I'm waking up without crippling pain and look forward to meal prep again while my body heals, to continue back on my weight loss journey I've worked so hard to keep the weight off.

Went to the dentist to get an extraction done, the dentist prescribed me percocet, holy shit, best drug ever.
I've taken morphine and norco before, but this one is amazeballs.

Glad to hear some good news on your injuries finally Astylla.

In my own personal win, I beat my 3 mile loop time today, with some pretty strong (well, for walking) wind countering me pretty much the whole way. I have been slacking on working out lately and so getting back to it and putting up a PR is pretty nice for motivation.

That is great !! I realize I won't be able to run for awhile but I can still do aerobic HIIT which I love so it will be okay. I'm rteally focusing on my eating habits again and using MFP to track things , as that's how I had success earlier.
My doctor was actually impressed I've kept most the weight off since last year so that felt good. My glucose is still pre-diabetic but if I can drop about 10 points I'll be clear which is reasonable.

Another win - someone on a facebook group I'm in tipped me off to a site that sells gently used name brand clothes. Between her referral code for 10 bucks and 50% off my first order using the app - I got a brand new Torrid tunic top for $2.54 including shipping and handling. It arrived today and I love it. It was brand new with tags. I also found an amazing outfit for dinner tonight in the form of a pinup style cherry red dress I can't wait to go out in.

Went to some Mexican hole in the wall sort of place down town I have never heard of for lunch. It is out of an old bus terminal (could call it a shack perhaps) or w/e. It is behind an Italian ice place everyone knows and talks about (3 feet from it), but it has no name up on the building, and there are the drunks/bums/Mexicans that hang out outside the door. Walk in and there are about 6 stools to sit on a foot away from the counter which is also the kitchen, and that is it. Holy shit was the food great. Best Mexican food I have ever had, and completely authentic. Not that Tex-Mex shit I really do not care for, and it is made fresh starting at 5am with the corn husks for the tamalles, etc.
Pretty much anywhere I don't see white people the food is great I've learned. No one that isn't a bum or Mexican seems to even know it exists or let alone goes there.

Ohai, second win of the day. I got a nice, big tv as a Christmas present from a friend last year. Since I have rather limited space in my room, been using it for both the PC and to play DVDs/stuff/VCR tapes on (My dad had quite the collection, and we've inherited that)..The trouble was I could not get my wireless Sennhieser headphones to work worth a crap on the TV.

Today since I got that PS3, got me a DVD off the stack and went to go see if I could figure out why the crap those headphones wouldn't work. Turned off the TV speakers and..Voila. The headphones work! I now can play blue rays/dvds/console games/tapes in peace. I never wanted to string headphone wires across my room, hence why the wireless headphones Not to mention when I got them, my mom didn't like videa game music at all so I didn't want to bother her..Maybe a small win of the "kick the electronic thing" variety, but a win never the less.

Oh and with that ps3; It's the model that's full backwards compatible; Me and 'Neko are talking about eventually sending it to GopherMods for some preventative maintenance but it's still going strong. He warned me to keep the vents cleared off, I mean to!

Had am amazing dinner out at a local favorite restaurant. Our server was so personable and fun and attentive even through the insane crowds. E said we were such a happy and easy going couple and even though we declined dessert he brought us a mini creme bruelle. Very nice little surprise.
