If you had the gamerip from 1.0 Alpha, basically everything in there is Uematsu and everything not in there (Moogle, Garuda, post-GC storyline except for Castrum Novum) is not.

I don't think that's quite accurate. As I recall, luminaries counted synths that took place roughly one update prior to their implementation.

Titan music just reminds me of DMC so that's fine. Moogle music is amazing as well, Levi's theme is fine but the lyrics are weak. The only disappointing thing is the style is similar to Titan/Garuda when it didn't need to be (though Titan feels like Garuda's theme pumped up). So far Ifrit and Moogle are the only primals with vastly different themes.

Titan's theme and Garuda's theme are actually very different.

For Garuda you have a woman singing and chanting at a breathy, high pitch which can be synonymous with air. The pacing of the song also carries itself on as if the song itself is a windstorm that just won't go away -- the pacing slows, as if it you're in the eye (calm) of a storm, then you hear a whisper and the music kicks right back up into a storm.

For Titan, the music is very obviously paced, based on the form of Titan you're challenging. Slow Riffs becomes heavier paced as the difficulty ramps up. You then get to the heart phase, and you're given a moment's reprieve in the music as you attempt to destroy the heart, forcing him into his final form. You get to the final form, and the song breaks down into new-age tribal music, yelling, screaming and chanting, something that's synonymous with raw earth themed music.

Soken and Uematsu are two very different people, but Soken himself is a very capable and talented musician in his own right.

Outside of their battles, the only ones I can listen to are Garuda, Ifrit, and Moggle Mog. I just don't find Titan's music enjoyable if I'm not half distracted dodging things. Leviathan will probably be the same.

I know for a fact that in the patch that released luminaries, my 50 WVR, LTW, and GSM were all 0/xxxx for progress. There was a big stink on the OF back then because DoW/DoM's battle progress for the Butcher's Crown was retroactive whereas DoH synth progress was not. Don't know about DoL but I imagine they got screwed like DoH as well.

All I meant by similar is the use of heavy guitars, base and drums which while slightly different between Titan, Garuda and Levi are still far more similar to each other than Moogle or Ifrit.
