If someone could give me a list of drops from mining / harvesting and levels that would be great. Both my retainers are DoW so I have those down but I have barely anything written for harvesting classes.

1-5: elemental shards, cooper ore, muddy water, bone chip (1133 exp)
6-10: tin ore, raw sun stone, raw lapis lazuli, soiled femur, zinc ore, obsidian, potter's clay (4413 exp)
11-15: fine sand, copper sand, rock salt, ragstone, iron ore, iron sand, cinnabar (8800 exp)
16-20: raw malachite, raw sphene, raw fluorite, limestone, raw danburite, sunrise tellin, alumen, grade 1 carbonized matter, mudstone (13.6k exp)
21-25: earth rock, silver sand, fire rock, ice rock, effervescent water, wind rock, lightning rock, silver ore, water rock (20494 exp)
26-30: bomb ash, elemental crystals, silex, wyvern, pigments (for dyeing), brimstone, grade 2 carbonized matter, siltstone, grade 1 la noscean topsoil, grade 1 shroud topsoil, grade 1 thanalan topsoil (30k exp)

Huh. So I guess it's time to swap my pugilist retainer over to miner. Getting Grade 2 topsoil alone is worth it...especially if they bring back multiples like they do the other junk.

If it's like the seeds then the base value they can get will only be 1, but maybe with higher gathering you'll be able to get more.

Threshold might be pretty high then. I'm at yield 30 for 6-10 stuff on my mid-20s Botanist but seeds is still 1x.

Do mining retainers not get xp from highland exp? My marauder retainer is level 14 now but my miner is still level 1

Your retainers get exp from any venture that they perform. Your miner won't get exp for work your marauder does, and the level cap of your retainers is either your level (or 5 below?) your level on that class.

if it works like seeds, its 1 per outing. Ive tried to toil seeds and/or soil and still cant get multiples

Your retainers get exp from any venture that they perform. Your miner won't get exp for work your marauder does, and the level cap of your retainers is either your level (or 5 below?) your level on that class.

I understand that, what I'm saying is that my miner doesn't get any xp from the highland exp she herself does

Assuming it's on the char linked to the side, there's no reason for your miner to be stuck at level 1 and not be gaining any exp. Does it display an exp reward next to the item when your retainer completes a venture?

She levels thru mining ventures, but not through highland exploration, which is what I prefer to send the gatherer on 9 times of ten

Should be giving you this; I don't know why it wouldn't be, unless you've hit your retainer's level cap.

My wife got a Woodworking Bench from her retainer earlier. Checked AH figuring we could maybe get a few mil for it since they're rare due to lack of glazenuts and such.

If you think they're worth millions, buy the others that are for sale and mark 'em up. Better yet, make a dummy character on your wife's account, list them for "millions", have the dummy buy them, and drive up the prices with phony sales.
