What do people recommend as the fastest way to level these up?

I've been told it's the hunting that gives the best venture to exp ratio. Then I just do the long ones when I'm offline!

The 18h one is not worth it unless you're going to be offline for 15h+, since you only need 3-4 hunts to get the same exp.

Biggest regret: Picking 2 classes that I hadn't finished leveling for my retainers because "I'll have more low level gear available to them!"

Switched jobs on one after getting to like lv20, but stuck out my THM. Been capped and wasting 95% of it's EXP since lv30 -____-. Annoying. I know the easy solution is to finish grinding my BLM since I'll level into full i90 anyways, but fuck, I just don't want to.

Just do the low level/guildhest roulettes, it's practically a free level every day (well, you need to do the 1 dungeon obviously, but still).

After coming back from work, I try to do hourly hunting ventures, until bed time. Right before heading to bed (and if there is no time for another hour venture) I do the 18h one, only because I have work the following and by the time I get back, it is complete. If you are the type that is unemployed or for some reason can be on 24 hours, doing the highest level hunting ventures is the best way, since exp is random on the quick ventures (and less expensive with venture tokens lol).

Venture acquisition:

I been buying super cheap crafting AF pieces off market wards and trading them in to the GC for seals. I can normally get 15 ventures for about 5k gil.

Run CT for your retainers.

Also Hero's is still Myth gear.

Run coil for your retainer, preferably in i100+ gear with another person on the same job as you. Loot all gear for your retainer and hope that the other person screams at you for rolling need when you have better gear already. Wait for thread on OF about how retainers are ruining the game and should be nerfed.

Just do a greed party and lot stuff for not your current job, avoid the bitching. If you need gear you already have just store it on another retainer so you can re-lot it.

If your retainer is a caster tho, you're kinda screwed (so many people want casting gear from coil it seems).

My alt already has a few allagan pieces and a Levi spear for when it reaches 50!
