I'm having quite the opposite time, pretty consistently either out of em or spamming militia chokers to keep up.

That's 3 characters x 4 retainers though, and 2/3 characters using most dungeon drops for desynth.

I have 3 retainers that I constantly send out on ~hourly ventures (shards/snurbles) whenever I'm logged in, and doing the daily starred supply/provisioning quests (I have all DoH+BTN+MIN at 50) puts me at just barely positive flow of GC seals.

I know its rather rare, but it seems that you can get the tier IV materia from the 1hour runs and the 18hr max tier run?

You mean Tier IV? Because I got Tier III all day long from DoL explorations.

I send my retainers on the 18hr XIV exploration ventures perpetually and I've never seen materia of any kind from them.

No idea if they can come from the lower tier ones.

They definitely can for pre-50. I'm a lazy asshole so when leveling retainers to 50 I just always send them on the 18hr. They (miner/fisher) frequently come back with gather or craft materia t2 or t3.

I got a Gatherer's Guerdon Materia II the other day from my 18 hour! Definitely possible. Then again, both my NPCs are gatherers.

I've had materia, usually useless stat tier 1's but I've had a range but yeah, from 1 hour ventures I think.

3 characters x 4 retainers, never seen a tier 4. Very rarely tier 3s or the pvp materia which are technically tier 3 caliber.

I've definitely gotten a T4 Control materia from my WHM or BLM retainer. I can't remember if it was off of quick venture or 18 hour exploration, though.

I've also gotten T2 crafting materia after resetting my retainers and levelling them up as miners off of the 18 hour exploration, as others have already said.

Reason I asked is because I just had a friend say he got a tier 4 from the 1 hour quick runs and when I searched the thread I saw some people mentioning materia from the 18hr ones, I just didn't know which 18hr ones provided any because like most of us, I run my retainers through multiple 18hr ones and have yet to obtain any tier of materia.

I think its i60 that I got a ton of T1-T2 Materia from. I've been spamming i80 now for months on 4 retainers and haven't seen a single one. (18hrs)

If you're on fairly often I find that the 18 hour ventures are a waste of time. I've made consistently more money from quicks. While you do get a lot of fish, I've gotten a raging vortex couch, glazenut seeds, jute, weird 1.0 crafting items that sell for 500k for some reason, an ADS lamp, and Dennis Franz from NYPD Blue.

i have been doing quick everytime im online since retainer hit 50

the only "best" thing i got is a mog sword

no super furniture, no super seeds, nothing

I mean they're still pretty rare. I have three i90+ retainers, and I still have long stretches of fish and cream. Sweet, delicious, fish and cream. But if you do them consistently you see solid results over time. Damn Arthars you post a lot.
