Preston never got me any points anyway.
Challenge was decent, elimination had two really good match-ups. I was kinda rooting for Preston but he forgot how to walk at a bad time. Aneesa had some serious whiplash on that second hit.

Qalbert 85
Top Scorers to Date:
Laurel 185

Jordan 125
Jessica 120
Johnny 115
Remaining Players:

Gonna be interesting with 3v3v5 players, with the last place team having the most available players.
especially since you have arguably the two best guys. mine are busy fighting over Nany
I wish I had joined in on this lol.
You can get in on it next year bro. It's hilarious how fun it is, especially the draft
Grantland's coverage of the episodes each week has been really terrible this season. Maybe it's because the show is on Thursday instead of Wednesday and he writes to publish on Friday, but it's more Bachelorette than anything. Only Devyn's wig got a mention, but not the Aneesa vs Laurel elimination or Nany hooking up with Johnny. Could be because bachelorette is an ABC production (Disney) and Grantland is owned by ESPN (Disney), but still.
I've been disappointed with it this season as well. The Devyn's wig funeral was the first 3 minutes of the episode, I don't even know if he watched it this time. I'm pretty sure it's related to the move to Thursday, though, more than the ABC-ESPN relationship. They still talk a fair about it during the Podcast, which is Friday afternoon. I do watch Survivor, though, so at least if it's focused on that, I'm interested. I don't give a shit about the Bachelor(ette), though, so skip everything related to that.
Yeah, you're welcome to join next year. I do like having a bunch of players because it pretty much gives everyone someone to root for, but 7 players each instead of 9 wouldn't be a problem. It's free to join, and the prize is eternal glory and salvation, so it's probably worth your 20 minutes to draft.Originally Posted by Xno Kappa
the GRTFL columns have been terrible this year. Back when they started up some of them almost made me cry laughing - now some weeks The Challenge gets nothing or a small blurb. If you look at the comments on the articles, it's all people complaining about the lack of Challenge coverage, so clearly we aren't the only ones.
FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF
Grantland was about a 50/50 split this week. Much better.
After Week 9:
Byrd 735
Moss 710
Headspace 680
Qalbert 90
Top Scorers:
Laurel 195
Nany 170
Cara Maria 140
Jordan 125
Of note: Johnny from Portland (120) has outscored Johnny Bananas (110) so far this season.
Remaining Players:
Byrd: Bananas, Leroy, Nany
Moss: Johnny, Laurel
Headspace: Cara Maria (?), CT, Theresa, Zach
Qalbert: Devyn
I'm going to be so upset if Cara Maria goes home. And would that be negative points for leaving due to injury? Did frank lose points?
No, Frank didn't lose me points when he left due to injury. He actually got me points for shedding man tears on his way out. Chet lost points because he "withdrew" of his own choice.
Is there any way in hell that Laurel doesn't win the womens' challenge now? I thought maybe Cara Maria had a shot if there were a lot of puzzles, but it seems hopeless now. One-handed Cara Maria, Theresa, Nany, Devyn (lol). Is there any competition there? Maybe Theresa, I guess? Seems like a forgone conclusion. I wish the thought had occurred to me on Draft Day that Laurel was really likely to dominate an individual game like this.
I could see just about any of the guys winning it, although Johnny seems like the least likely, followed by Leroy.
I was just making sure because the scoring in the spreadsheet says leaving the game except due to extreme personal circumstances (death in family) wasn't sure if it was same due to injury or not.
Cara Maria has a chance if hand heals to somewhat function. Theresa can do it too. The final challenges are all long distance running really n
Ugh. Not good for me with only 2 players left. Johnny has to make the final for me to have a chance.
I don't think Laurel is a complete lock. Nany, Theresa, and Cara Maria are all down to do nasty shit for the cause and are decent athletes. Laurel has spent all of her time moping and writing in her burn book since Jordan left.
2 more episodes before finale?
Well Cara Maria cried like four times. Theresa cried. TJ told Cara Maria she killed it. Zach and Theresa in the final. So there's that.
But Cara Maria is going to get Jordan'd in this elimination
God damnit. Continued until next week, huh? Guess everyone gets "episode survival" points this week.
And what shitty luck for them to have a wall challenge for Cara Maria right now.
Scores this Week:
Byrd 75
Headspace 55
Moss 25
Qalbert 5
After Week 10:
Byrd 810
Moss 735
Headspace 735
Qalbert 95
Top Scorers for the Year:
Laurel 215
Nany 205
Cara Maria 165
Bananas 145
Since nobody was eliminated, the remaining players don't change.
Byrd: Bananas, Leroy, Nany
Moss: Johnny, Laurel
Headspace: Cara Maria (?), CT, Theresa, Zach
Qalbert: Devyn
