I thought fates didn't reward chocobos any experience only the monsters that you kill.. otherwise getting a bird to rank 10 would be pretty much a breeze for someone like myself that enjoys grinding, that and my bird is Lv.8 right now :D.. so if they can get exp from fates I'll be kinda bitter.

They can get exp from trash mobs, but not from boss exp at end.

Central Shroud DOES drop an atma, right? I mean there are a bunch of other people too. I've just been there since Sunday and haven't seen a drop, so I'm kinda questioning.

So, I just did a FATE in my Book, Enmity of my Enemy, got Gold, seals/gil and did not get credit in the book for some reason. . .

Was in a party, with other people out of the zone, not sure if everyone needs to be in the zone or you need to be solo... Yes, I had my atma equipped.

So, what's SE going to do when everyone is done farming this shit in two weeks and there's nobody to run fates with? Fates rarely gonna spawn and be impossible to take down with you and your chocobo

fates difficulties adjust by the amount of people that previously attempted it, I've solo'd boss fates on a Lv.15 CNJ with a chocobo with ease.

You don't have to clear the fates, although it's going to be slow as fuck.

Yeah if there's any valid reason to rush this part of the quest it's this. I missed the boat with hamlet seals in 1.0 and it wasn't fun.

Part of the reason why I said that SE is getting comfortable with us and throw pointless/lazy quest at us. The lucky people (who got all of their atmas Day1) wont understand the struggle of the unlucky people (most of us) so they may try to get a 2nd Animus relic, maybe they will be lucky again (I hope for them) but I doubt anyone in their right mind will try again soon for a 2nd relic if they were as unlucky as we are.

Result, less people for fates, even if most of them can be soloed by a BLM & a Chocobo Healer, it will just be a pain in the ass.

Devoting all energies towards Lev weapon after this first book is done. Ridonculous grind and the books themselves are kind of a pain in the ass; I ended up being in Dragon's Aery again trying to kill one mob in Westwind because everyone refused to party up.

A lot of people don't know and just assume that multiple people cant get credit for the kills, which is annoying as fuck. It's astonishing the amount of people you come across who lack common sense.

I noticed (doing some of mine) you don't need to get claim, nor kill a large percentage of the mob to get credit. I think I only did 10% if that of a mob and got credit on someone else's mob.

I am not grinding for hours and hours and hours on end but I do put in 1-2 hours at a time in between running stuff, and in different areas now and still nothing.

Part of me is saying fuck this noise, I am going for Levi/High Allagan anyway

The other part of me is saying 2.25 will bring in the next set of upgrades and the weapon will be wtfamazingsauce and I would rather get the first portion done now.

Yeah, I'm having a really hard time justifying spending my time on this crap.

The way I see it, its not BiS now so don't rush it, but I could see them having the final upgrade path need a drop from the final boss in coil 3. I'm gonna try to have it done by 2.25 but it probly won't happen. Its still a huge time sink though I feel like it would be better spent on other stuff.

This fate grinding reminds me of when I needed 1 mil karma for gw2 legendary though...
