In case anyone wondered, you can't start the Nexus quest with just a Novus shield (haven't decided whether to do sword or bow first or what stats to put on them, was kind of waiting to see what this step would bring).

Will have to wait for a real report, but I would guess its like any other upgrade. They seem to be consistent with only allowing you to upgrade after both, this will likely stay the same.

Hm, wonder if Blinding is worse than bright for some reason... expert dungeons giving more than extreme primals is a bit weird. Probably just ass backwards though, this is SE.

i kinda wish they'd change the look of the weapon itself instead of giving it more and more ridiculous glows, its too gaudy in some cases, like scholar book, how do you read the sun

a primal is only 5-10 mins work tho, extreme or not. you shouldnt be in a "practice" pt wiping to it anyway if you are after lights

I am thinking it can vary by class/weapon, possibly a rng chance to get it, time of compelation? effort put in? dps? healing? combined? or some other factors...

They said that is coming, probably for 2.4 or the expansion if they continue relics.

entire weapon will have a new name when they do that. like you trade in Curtana Nexus for a Weathered Caliburn or something like that.

Given that the spiritbond bar disappeared randomly (repurposed?), it might be wise to poke around in memory for some actual information instead of just hoping for something to happen. I'm not at all familiar with the item structure or where spirit bonding information was stored, but finding the equipped item object array is pretty easy with CE and xivdb. Just equip the weapon, search for its ID (via xivdb), change weapon, search for new weapon ID and you'll likely have one result. Switch back and browse the memory region. Examine trailing bytes before and after lights. Worth a try, anyway. I don't have the time at the moment
