FL is only 13-16 mins and have chance for blinding, FL is way to go for moi ^Q^

I just queue FL + ST + do fates between queue

I think im 2-3 FL away from 2nd level

FL question: Can you just swap jobs near the end and get that credit on whatever job even though you did most of the FL on some other class/job?

Did 5 T5's last night and got brilliant on all but the last one. Fight is stupid easy with all novus and 20% echo. I didn't tiem it, but we were clearing in I would guess 6mins or less. The last one we had a couple people die to twister so I'm not sure if that lowered the light. Ran a ST after that, finished at around 19min and only got bright

For the good the localisation team does in the game, their work on patch notes can be pretty shit.

My understanding was that content will temporarily "grade up" (Gentle -> Bright, Blinding -> Star, etc) at certain time frames. Seems to be 2 hour windows where specific instances are more effective. For example, up until about 30 minutes ago Garuda HM was consistently giving Bright instead of Gentle.

Edit: Ah I see how this works, so it rotates in time frames. Wonder if there is a pattern.

The type of light you get in each duty seems to be based on the time of day from what i've tested the last few hours.

(On Ultros Server this morning):
Ifrit HM gave Bright light from 8AM-9AM CST(may have started earlier, 8 was when i started). At 9am it started giving Gentle light.
At 9AM CST, started running Garuda HM. It gave Bright light every time i ran it(10+ runs) between 9AM-11AM CST. Gentle started at 11AM CST. Others who were playing in the same duty were ALL getting bright lights.

Things that don't seem to affect lights:
Speed of completing duty: Majority of the Garuda HMs above lasted less than 3 mins. Fighting longer than that(or the same speed) had given me Gentle lights all of yesterday
Diminishing returns: The first Ifrit HM i did after patch gave a Feeble light. My first Garuda HM this morning gave a Gentle light, then between 9-11 all of them gave Bright light. Also, this would make no sense as everyone in the duty has always gotten the same light in my experience.

We need to start documenting the Eorzea time on this, might be a way to find when ST turns into Newborn light. Hmm actually that wouldn't work, guess you just have to mess around and see what instances are giving at a given hour.

We were spamming Garuda HM 2:15 range for kills and it definitely swapped from blight to gentle after about 5 runs. We did a few more all gentle. Then did ifrit 2:40 kill got gentle then did Titan 4min kill and got bright.

Probably worth to test in that order and spam Garuda or ifrit if they give bright.

it is true that there is specific period of time in the day where certain stuff gives 1 tier higher

we have peeps in LSs saying its "garuda prime" and everyone was spamming it left right center, it would even go into "Preparing instance" state

and then once its gone, no one is doing it anymore lol

Front line was giving blinding too the same period garuda was "golden"

FL just went back to brilliant now

It resets at 1AM JST, we're thinking each contents has min-max lights that changes every few hour, with starlight being jackpot light.

Ifrit ex is at brilliant right now.

Y'all are only going to care about this for like... a week or two. I wouldn't waste your time trying to figure it out that much.
