17 zones with hunts, 17 A Ranks. 40 Seals each. 30 Soldiery.

17 * 40 = 680 seals per set of A ranks, or 3 alex per set + 510 soldiery, 1 and a quarter maps, assuming you spend sold on maps instead of zodiac water.

Each set of A ranks has a minimum recycle time of 3 hours and 30 minutes, up to 5 hours. Let's assume an average respawn time of all 17 to occur every 4 hours. That's 2 alex per hour. Doing fates, you're likely to achieve at least 2 or 3 alex an hour.

S rank days are different, but I still probably wouldn't bother with A ranks, or would do FATEs in A window zones.

Been tring to finish zodiac for an alt, and been stuck at Qarn/Snowcloack/AK/Pharoes for the past few days. Shit.Just.Wont.Drop, and its gettin fuckin annoying now. DD took me like 20 clears to get the god damned fuckin item :.:

I am working on my 2nd. been getting butt fucked by dungeons left and right. Snowcloak took me 25 the first time, just took me like 15-18. WP took 15. TTD took 10, haukke took 15.

i only have 6 dungeons left that I can think of.

I have not gotten a single 1/1 drop on any dungeon in two relics. really upsets me.

I was thinking about doing a 3rd for whm, but fuck this BS. Getting my Raggyrock done and thats it

You cant say RNG is 2 or 3 an hour, it can be 0

this isn't how averages work. you can have 0 one hour and 8 another, the average number isn't 0 or 8.


also i fucked it up, i added the 1 alex from the 1 map 4 times, it's less than 2 alex an hour from hunts. 1 and some change an hour, 4 from every 4 hours of hunting, 9 from every 8.

nexus lights + animus book's objective need to be tweaked someway.... the tomestone is not the problem

granted lights is x2 now, but for a IL5 upgrade its still way too long. it is longer than a IL125 > IL135 upgrade and even tho zeta needed 200x 12 tomestone, its only 200 or less in reality because you get the 200 back easily doing 10x primals per mahatma

this is coming from a guy with 3 ZW, 2 zetas + 1 nexus and 1 ZW on mule

Yeah well I thought about it, nerfing the item drop for zodiac seems the next logical step before the expansion.. but My OCD makin me finish it, even it it takes another week for two more items to drop :.:

i would definitely do a lot more relics if it weren't for animus stage. i don't get how they can make everything else easy and leave animus the way it is. most tedious shit in the game.

Your problem is... the idling waiting for FATEs to spawn I guess? I've done 3 relics now, and I always found the Animus stage to be piss easy. Took me longer to get NIN from 1 to 50 than it did for me to take its relic from i80 to i110.

How do you want them to nerf it? Whittle the 3 objectives in each category down to 2 (2 dungeons, 2 FATEs, 2 leves)? Chop the total number of books down? I can't really see either of those things happening. Maaaaaaaybe they could swap the problem FATEs out for more commonly-spawned FATEs.

cutting down the mobs from 10 to 3, choose to do 2 out of 3 fates but not all, and maybe do 2 out of 3 of the dungeons is a way im sure they can do it

with how alexandrite being able to be stashed, having a animus serve 0 purpose at all

most people will upgrade right away to novus without swinging the animus weapon once

its not a bad design. infact it is very refreshing initially and is possibly the most creative way, alongside nice interface for the books, for a relic upgrade

the problem is, it is way back and time for a change

if alexandrite can be obtained 3 or more ways now than old school brayflox 2boss mytho spams, and lights can be doubled, there is no reason why animus stage should stay as it is

tomestone reduction doesnt even justify because soldiery's rate is not the same as how mythology rate was

I can steamroll the lights doing various content, I have ~115 alexandrite from doing content but dragging a relic into sub 50 dungeons and having to wait to do it is just terribad. Worst part of the relic quest by far ATM.

Completely agree. They did it with Zodiac, I dont know wtf is stopping them to do it with animus.

Maybe RNG goddess is on my side (hope I don't jinx it), but zodiac drop rate seems decent for me. I'm getting a drop once every 3-5 dungeon runs.

I'm wondering actual values so I can keep track.
