I agree about the sympathy for some. One FC mate has been farming the last 2 for days, and I know he's there for a long time. But yeah I totally agree, there are a lot of benefits of doing it, like you mentioned. I farmed another 12 just to save for a fture new job. More gil, seals and choco xp. It's all instant gratification with a lot of people and how they want stuff handed to them.

Considering the weapon will basically be the... best weapon possible (with customizable stats) high allagan will be basically useless (cept for the cool kids club factor).

I can see them re-adjusting the quest line to be harder, not easier for i115 weapon.

Atma farming is easy, the myth can be done in a week or less (if you really want to grind the shit out of it). I did for my SCH book (took 1 week for atma + the animus, someone did it in like 4 days?)

I kind of do hope the next step is harder (and requires i90+ geared solo boss fight or something tailored to your class) >.>

Because I'm a huge hypocrite though, I could see myself losing my shit if I was in a zone for 6 hours and a friend came in and was done in ten minutes. My friends are a lot more gracious than I am, that's for damn sure. If I was in the same shoes as some of the people who were logging huge blocks of hours into it, I can't say I'd be behaving any better.

Does anyone know if that's the most recent issue of Famitsu (released yesterday), or a past one? I assume it's the new one since this info just came out but I don't see anything in the summary of the contents.

I kind of feel like the i115 upgrade will be the final upgrade, which would be either 2.3 or 2.35. I'm okay with that since it would be shortly before 3.4 where we will end up with (in theory) i120 and i130 as a baseline. On that, I'm still holding true to: 2.28 -> i105, 2.3 -> i110, 2.35 -> i115.

Yeah I zerged mine too. Got the atma done in 4 days (extra time for some comcast bs) and like a week for the books. They could add something like a mirror to the high allagan to keep it the best once the Zodiac gets to 115. But I don't know if they would go that far.

The way I read Yoshida's post, seems like the next one will be RNG based but with more possibilites to get the scrolls elsewhere. I have a feeling you can choose an RNG drop or use soldiery tomes to buy them at a crazy price. Just a random idea. Then with the next update after 2.28, I hope that one is tough like you said to get to 115. Originally he said 2.25 and 2.3 will see further progression. So I'm guessing now 2.28 and 2.3. Solo boss fight idea would be awesome idea.

During my first atma farming, I was in Bronze Lake for 8 hrs total. One of my friends joined my party after hour 4, 45 mins he got the drop. Then about an hour later, someone else came and joined and got it 30 mins later. Still took me 3 more hours. I was a little aggravated but eh what can ya do. At least they got it quick.

Its best to be crazy in the first place, in one way or another to survive animus farming! Miqo'te female kept me going, even for the 2nd one O_o

and yeah I agree, I think the next step is most likely the stat adjustments? and should be ilvl105 (110 would be nice)

Tinfoil: Lots of varieties of spheres, limited number of "slots" to do them. Weapon "becomes" i115 like Atma "became" 100 and we don't get to finish to Novus until 2.3 or beyond.

In case people are wondering, you can buy/read Famitsu online through Bookwalker (JP e-reading service thingy), not particularly expensive. It's like $3.50 for the latest issue after currency conversion and $2.50 for older issues.

There was someone who suggested that if they wanted to make Atma adjustments to make it to where they could make them purchaseable with GC seals (since you'd be getting those from FATEs anyway) and scale it based on the amount of seals for each Atma based on the area it drops in. For example, Central Shroud Atma would cost less than say Outer La Noscea, just based on the average level of the FATEs between the two areas. They'd just have to decide on a coefficient that'd make sense. Even if it were something like 50 FATEs worth of seals per area, (would be like 13k seals for the most expensive one) at least people would know if they hadn't finished an Atma in that amount of time they'd eventually just be able to get it.

Sure but that amount of DL that would require would take a very long time. 13000/800 = 16 DL pieces. Plus most people use GC for Ventures. Its a pretty good idea.
