I haven't seen any compiled information on the books. They definitely share dungeons, fates and mob type kills.

I think it's the same nine books for every weapon; Netherfall, Netherfire, Skyfall I and II, Skyfire I and II, Skywind I and II, Skyearth.

Someone on reddit (I think, though it may have been somewhere else here on BG, since I don't seem to be able to find where I got the link) had posted a link to this spreadsheet, which lists the contents of each book. I can confirm it's correct for Netherfall and Netherfire, which are the two needed for the shield.

It doesn't have 100% of the info yet, but this site has a pretty decent list for what's required for each book. I haven't seen a list compiled yet for which books are needed for which upgrades for each weapon.

Are people compiling that info just for shits and giggles? I don't really see the purpose it would serve, since you can't do any prep work for it until the book is right in your face. I'm working on a 2nd Animus, and I still couldn't give two shits about what's in each book.

First thing I did for each of my books once I got them was rearrange the list of FATEs, enemies, and leves by zone and region, just so I could go in a vaguely efficient route. That's about the only benefit to having it in advance that I could see.

On the topic of books though, can you have more than one purchased and active at a time? I've never managed to accumulate another 1500myth before I completed a book because the books are so damn easy, but I'm curious if you could have two open at once that perhaps ask for the same dungeon and kill two birds with one stone.

They "May" be the same, if its the same class, but if its say whm and a sch, both working on MND book1, its probably different. All the books got the same randomized mob kills/dungeons/fates etc though

Oh, yeah I just meant that there's only 9 books overall, you'll do each of them once regardless of your job, and that identically-named books have the same contents. The order of the books, however, could be entirely different, I'll grant you.

You'll always have to do The Four Winds once, Tower of Power once, etc.

But if your third "Vitality +2" book is named "Netherfall I", everyone else will have "Netherfall I" as their third "Vitality +2" book as well, and they all will contain the same mobs/dungeons/FATEs/leves.

About the only use for this knowledge is that if you and your friends buy the books at the same time in the same order, you can do the dungeons together and spare yourself the pain of doing Qarn and Aurum in the Dumbass Finder.

each new book removes the last out of your key items, which is why, after you finish the animus, you will still have the last book in your inventory key items.
