JP notes also seem to reference an increase in physical/magic damage, but yeah neither English nor German seem to?

that's good then. glad to see the competence level of the English localization team hasn't improved from XI. they're great at witty references and actual writing, but whoever is in charge of straight out translations tends to leave things out or outright get things wrong.

To be fair, they said "replace" so you can't remove the accuracy in favor of something else, but I see no reason why you couldn't add accuracy to the healer weapons. I'm also a little unsure if you can like, add 3 stats totaling 75 or just 2 stats? Either way, idc WELFARE WEAPONS

If you wanted to raise acc on your Gae Bolg you still need to start from 0 with materia infusion. You're basically replacing your current acc with a higher amount not adding onto it. You can't replace accuracy on the healer weapons which means you can't even attach acc materia to them most likely, it's treated like Mind or Strenght.

Yeah just read the french patch notes

Here are the 'differences' between the french and enlgish patch notes

1) French seems to say that you get the novus after the first quest
2) English says to infuse a materia while french says le pouvoir de materias (which means Materias Power aka more then 1 like we said)
3) French says about physical/magical incrase

English says that ACC for Thyrus + Onmilex base stays the same

While French stays STR MND DEX INT VIT and Thyrus + omnilex ACC stays the same until novus then it increase to Lv110 equivalent (I insist that french translation says that ACC might upgrade to 110 value for SCH and WHM weapon) I tend to believe the english translation better for that part

A quick summary of data mined info, I've seen none of this posted here yet surprisingly enough so here you go:

Quest starts at Jalzahn, you have to go talk to the materia people in Central Thanalan. You have to buy 3 Superior Enchanted Inks from Rowena for Allagan Tomestones of Mythology to obtain your Sphere Scroll. Sphere Scroll has to melded to the stats you want on your Relic Novus, up to 75 secondary points in total have to melded before you can obtain your novus. To meld to the sphere scroll you need to get Alexandrite, which can be obtained from

1) Allagan Tomestones of Mythology, buying Mysterious Maps from Rowena and completing them gives Alexandrite
2) Completing FATEs with Animus Equipped

Sphere Scroll melds CAN fail, they start with 100% success rate but will drop as you meld more materia. Once you have melded all the stats you can hand over Animus and Scroll to obtain your Novus.

so basically, the Animus -> Novus system is a F2P Korean enchantment system.

Sorry, I'm sure plenty of you plan to whiteknight the fuck out of this and kiss Yoshi P's ass since apparently he can do no wrong, but this is pretty fucking stupid. I expected a 110 weapon to be difficult, but this is something altogether different. Almost insulting.
