so does the success rate go back to 100% when you switch to a new materia or a higher tier one?
Crit. is 44 total for me.
does anyone know if you can buy multiple maps from Auriana or is it same as the quest 1/day?
I'd assume they're unique like the other maps, so you can only hold one of each type at a time.
i know that. was wondering if you have like 1600 myth and you buy one for 800 do it and on the same day if you can buy another or is it just limited to one purchase per day.
You cant hold 2 maps
I had a peiste this morning and i had to drop it to get the mysterious map
At one point in time, the effort and time involved in getting an allagan weapon substantiated its higher ilvl. Now, the time and effort involved for relic far supercedes the effort for high allagan. The ilvl needs to reflect that. Novus seems absolutely pointless. By the time I get a novus, I'll have high allagan for my third job. By the time the average Joe finishes novus, I'd imagine pugs will be running through T9.
On that note, is Novus gonna be the "last" step? Because if they add any more to this (or "worse", continue making the relic grow in future patches), not touching it at all lol. Will be so much less hassle to just get whatever new primal weapon they throw out.
Well yeah, but I meant more for the part about how it's gonna be going forward. It would literally need to better than High Allagan (or whatever the patch's current top item is) to be worth it at this point, imo. In patch 2.4 this is either going to be obsolete as hell or still be a part of the ongoing upgrade line. Which makes anyone who put it off way behind the curve if the devs feel this is a "requirement". Or something.
To further that, by the time the next major upgrade rolls out, they'll have nerfed the atma and myth requirements to the point you can probably get novus in a day or two, if they continue their MO.
Beating turn 9 for a weapon isn't really a viable alternative for some, and it is definitely not about "time". Really this is just busy work to me, more like why not do it when I'm just standing around doing nothing anyway.
The question isn't "is it viable now", but is it viable by the time I can get a novus in a couple of months?
I spent about 10-15 hours farming 9 atma. Not even 12. Not even the myth grind. I regret even putting that time in. Like, this upgrade appears incredibly frivelous for the effort involved vs the effort involved in getting something even better.
Hell, the 2nd tier coil weapons are pretty much just as good, minus 2ndary stats.
well if it takes me 75 days of doing duty roulette expert, minus the days I spend myth or grind fates thats about 2 months lets say. So...maybe? If your static doesn't fall apart, if you have a static, if your static is even capable of winning. For me there is no reason not to and I can't bet on beating t9 personally in 2 months. If you are currently on track and beating any turns I might avoid it, maybe.
Edit: well, yeah to the above. It's garbage and a farce. E3 better have some bangers coming out of it or them to be regurgitating shit people hate and attaching them to relics.
I no longer have a static and won't have one capable of beating Turn 7, let alone Turn 9, in the foreseeable future. I joined an FC but the raid group they put me in only has 3 other people and in 2 weeks, no one else has joined. Only one of the 4 of us has cleared Turn 6.
This weapon and upgrade path is my only progression on my main now. I have all soldiery gear for it. After starting Novus tonight, I finally canceled my sub. After dying during my first map (everyone was saying they could be done solo... The one I got with the Malboro isn't soloable with BLM) I spent 6 hours doing FATEs and didn't get an Alexandrite. After finishing 2 Animus weapons, I can't bring myself to do more Myth grinding. If this is the best "content" they can make for non raiders to "enjoy" and progress, I want no part of this game. A potential 75 day grind for one upgrade that's not even BiS is completely insane and fits SE's long standing problem with balancing effort vs. reward. The idea that this was acceptable made me, sadly, wash my hands of this game for now.
