Didn't they say they were adding other ways to get alexandrites in 2.3? (Hunts?)
I think I'm gonna take it easy till 2.3 since I already have a 110 weapon, doing the daily quest and a map once every couple days.

Yeah, it will be easier to get them in 2.3 just like its easier to get mythology in 2.28.. Look at how that turned out lol, still more time efficient to just run bray.
So question for anyone currently socketing onto their scrolls...
It's clear that socketing determination shows X/31, but are other stats X/44 (X/somethingElse)?
For those socketing Determination, does it give a progress to completion anywhere? X/75, or something else? I'm trying to determine how the weighted stats (PIE + Determination) are handled, since Det caps at 31, PIE at 33, and everything else at 44. Seems like bullshit if socketing Det is easier than all the rest (only having to socket to 31 instead of 44).
Yea the homepage of the scroll shows Infusion X/75.
But if you're socketing Determination, do the 'X's match (X/75 vs X/31)?
I ask because most jobs (and even SE's own stat weights) weigh Determination more heavily than most other stats, that's why its cap is lower on all items. If the 'X' matches, then a WHM could max Det, PIE, and throw points into something else even, which isn't normally possible on an item. It would also mean that nearly all jobs should cap Det, since it's stronger than most other stats.
Yes. I have 3 in det so my det says 3/31 and infusions 3/75.
I... I don't know what to say. For them to suddenly pretend like Det is equal to all other stats flies in the face of their own stat caps. I would suggest capping, or at least throwing a hefty chunk into, Det on all jobs then.
i'm still gona do it and just give sands to people for other slots
It isn't treating Det equal to all other stats, I can only fit 31 max.
What I mean, is that every point into [stat] counts as a single point into your allowance of 75, regardless of how strong that stat is usually weighted.
Ignoring [main stat] and VIT, a normal piece of gear has one capped stat and one uncapped stat. Treating Determination the way they are now allows you to cap TWO stats (or in the case of healers using PIE, cap two stats and still have some leftover for a 3rd), which suddenly makes it stronger than any other i110 weapon.
As an extreme example, the Yagrush (i110 WHM) has 33PIE (capped) and 22Det (uncapped). If you were to allocate PIE + Det on your Thyrus Novus, you would be able to cap PIE (+33), cap Det (+31), and still have 11 points leftover for crit or something, instantly surpassing the Yagrush in all regards. THAT is why I am surprised. I expected these weapons to follow the same rules as every other non-materiable weapon in the game.
This is going to make my decision for what to put on my Bravura very difficult. I feel like I should cap Det because it's more powerful, but I'd also like some acc/parry, hmm.
got alex #8 woot
Bluefog fates
Is it possible to just fill the weapon with more than 2 stats without having to cap them?
just get a fate bot and go to bed![]()
Did you get Alex in FATEs where you didn't score Gold rating? I've got one yesterday and haven't seen another in probably 70+ fates now.
