Can you not Aetherial Manipulation while bound?
Can you not Aetherial Manipulation while bound?
I've been doing all my maps on PLD with my lv4 chocobo out. You basically can't die, don't think I've ever been below 50% HP at the end.
tool tip says no to AM
chocobo duh
I didn't know you could AM to chocobos, but yeah the placement of the chocobo tends to be retarded and gets hit by almost every AoE anyway. I could do them on my i90 PLD but I imagine it's a lot less fun. What I don't like is you can't predict which mobs you'll get based on location, it seems to be completely random. So you can't choose your job based on that.
oh god lol
u want fun on map mobs for alex? wtf........ get on a job to get it done and farm more mytho....
i cant believe we are discussing what type of mobs we get and how to kill them
is this your first alex?
or people don't know their jobs idk
I likes doing maps with friends, because playing solo is boring
So i'm sure it was brought up here somewhere, but I don't want to go through all 80 pages. Is this whole JPT theory about atma farming a load of bullshit akin to the old FFXI theories? (Theory that states Atma drop at specific times +/-10 minutes). It looks like horseshit to me but I have to ask since grinding this is annoying as hell.
Rng
You've got to scrape the barrel for any scrap of fun when the devs make you spend 100+ hours doing tedious repetitive tasks for no other reason than time gating. It's the most fun you're going to get out of this Zodiac questline, make the most of it.
No doubt you're one of those facerollers that won't even do a map unless they have a full party and hence what kind of mob pops is irrelevant because it's dead before you get your second attack in.
tried it for the hell of it, as far as I can tell, its rng for alexandrites. I tried JP time, server time, and my own time for an hour, nothing. I'm pretty sure it would do the same farming for an actual atma also. Best to sacrifice lalafells to the rng gods and hope for luck.
There all pretty easy on SCH with decent i90+ gear, only one have to really pay attention for is the golem+foxfire one where you actually have to kill the adds (which die in seconds) and not just ignore it >.>
The cyclops, just make sure to miasma 2 so the adds are on you not the pet. Other then that just dodge the attacks for all the others as there easy solo (chocobo can make it harder, if you lag and take many hits).
I do all of my maps with my roommate's BRD so I'm yet to see Foxfires do anything besides eat shit, but how much damage to they do to a paladin? Could you stand away from them and pop Sentinel and Rampart to eat the first group and then Hallowed the second one?
Probably, the very first time I did it, I just soorta ignored them for awhile as I thought they may come at me but they didn't.
After like 30 seconds? they zerg rushed me at like mount speed, each explodes for like 2,000-2,300 (on SCH) damage (instant explosion). It was my first/last alexnadrite map I failed O_o
