Demo coming March 25thhttp://gematsu.com/2015/03/toukiden-...ng-later-monthThe demo consists of two distinct game modes. The first is an “introductory mode” comprised of the first two chapters of the game, including the edit mode where players can create and customize their own Slayer, and equip them with one of three new weapon types (naginata, club, and rifle).
The second section is a series of “special missions” specifically designed for the demo and set at a very high difficulty level. These may be too difficult for those who have not played the original Toukiden. But the full version of the game will increase the difficulty of missions in a much more gradual manner, Koei Tecmo assures.
Clearing every mission will let players start playing the game from Chapter 8, where the Kiwami portion of Toukiden: Kiwami begins, as well as unlock various special features and items that can be carried over to the full game.
Also in the demo you’ll be able to battle a few of the game’s brand new Oni types.
Demo's supposed to drop today.
This is my hype music for the day.

This post is being commandeered!
I went back and RTFM; I figure I'll go ahead and post some pages from the manual that people might find useful since they are new mechanics for Kiwami.

I finished streaming; looks like audio is disabled to stream (or even when you record clips) when you use the PS4's out-of-the-box streaming functions so if you plan to stream this and you want audio you'll need some sort of capture device.
That said, I do like the rifle. Both the rifle and the PS4 version have a few things that are going to take some getting used to. When you use the square button attack with the rifle, it puts you into an aiming mode and when you press the button to "run" you don't leave that mode... you fire a round. And because you can move in this aiming mode, unlike most moves with the gun... the left stick doesn't aim in this mode, its the right stick. Kinda disorienting at first but I'm sure I'll quickly get used to that one.
I don't even know how to issue orders to the team on the PS4 (probably should have read the manual before jumping in).
I'm going to try the new weapon types and battle styles as well. I have a feeling I'll play better with the Naginata than the Rifle or Kanobo since it seems like more of a conventional type of weapon.
tl;dr: Audio for ps4 streaming = no. Controls are mostly the same but lack of touch screen changes a few things. Rifle is weird. Gonna try the other new things.
Demo is recommended. Give it a shot (Its almost 12GB for PS4 though)
Demo is 12gb on PS4, I'm taking it this is just a full game but needing an unlock key?
Nope! Its just a demo. 1st 2 chapters of the game, a preview of Ch.8 and a few demo missions/quests.
2 chapters of the game are 12 gigs?
Nope. But the first two chapters, a preview of chapter 8 and special missions for the demo is.
Downloading the Vita demo it is because I can't afford 12gb of bandwidth for a bloody demo.
Welp, plus +5'd the Naginata and the armor.
Got all the chapter and phase missions completed (and quests) for the SP missions portion of the demo and got some online play in.
Fun demo.
Considering doing it all again tomorrow on the VITA ver. D:

For those who played first toukiden, how stable was the online in it? I never did get the time to try online, let alone finish the first one. I'm planning to get ps4 version of this, but since I have a few friends who are at quite a distance, I'm afraid if there willbe some bad lag or anything, or even with people more closer to me as well.
im in bahrain, chari is in murika, we never had problems.
And we put in a solid few hours too, its pretty good as long as the individual person's connection isn't garbage. If your connection or another player's connection is caca, you'll see some glitchy stuff. I played online quite a bit and rarely had issues but some folks I know had all sorts of problems (but in the end it turned out to be their router or ISP). Toukiden is actually slightly more finicky than some other games when it comes to this kinda stuff. If your connection has a lil hiccup it was like nah son you are d/cing.
I imagine Kiwami will be more stable since VITA TV/PSTV and PS4 are out there nowadays as well so we'll have some folks with Ethernet connections able to host rather than everyone being on wifi.
That's good to hear. I should be able to get more friends into the game as well since a few are on the fence about it due to stability. Going by your earlier post, the demo has online as well? I think that alone is probably enough to sell them on it. I have it downloaded, but haven't got chance to play it myself, and I can't remember if the demo of the first one had online or not.
Yeah, the demo has online and the Age of Demons demo had it too.
I haven't touched the introductory chapter part of the demo at all but for SP missions you have to complete the first 3 to unlock the multiplayer.
