Okay, started up a Sorc last night just for fun. Making an INT version of this build with Blue Flame/Watcher Greatsword (despite everyone saying MLGS outclasses it in every way) and a few other minor changes.
What I found is that Sorcerer is a terrible starting class. After messing around a bit, I decided to delete the character and start over and this is what I wanted to share with everyone...
Charismatic's "Guide to Making Sorc not Suck-to-Play Quickly:"
-Run past everything and go fight Dragonrider IMMEDIATELY
-Level up with those souls: 13ATN/10STR/9DEX
-Get to Cardinal Tower Bonfire
-Drop down and get Fire Longsword
-Play as normal

Anyone who takes my advice will be doper than fuck.
EDIT: Oh yeah, and the whole process is fast. You can have that longsword and be burnin' nigs while you chop them like 10min after starting the game, easy.
