Krakka almost looks like a new type of bag (blue line with light blue bottom)

The plant model is new and I don't think there's any new gather-able seeds so I'm really confused at the moment. I should have some plants ready to pull when I get home.

How long ago did you plant? Was it right at patch release?

Yeah, used quite a bit of fertilizer too.

I don't think any of the seeds you planted there share breed with Krakka. Krakka is a blue lined bag, none of the rest of those are.

I haven't known the color of the seed bags to dictate what can intercross with what (like I have successfully intercrossed Broombush a Purple bag with Almonds a blue one for Broombush Seeds) so it was experimental, hoping I might stumble upon something.

Only cross-breeds of the same type of seeds (I think, I'd need to double check my spreadsheet when I get home). So im assuming the stuff like thav onions are a vegetable breed

My krakka's matured but the other 4 plants in each bed haven't yet but here's what I got from my first round:

You obtain a bag of pahsana fruit seeds.
You obtain a bag of sylkis bud seeds.
You obtain a bag of curiel root seeds.

Wondering if I should intercross any of these assuming I get enough from the last plants which haven't matured yet. Any suggestions on how to plant out the next beds?

Also got some useless seeds like pearl ginger and a linseed along with these. The new breeding system is weird.

Yes but it is possible that the changes to cross-breeding might have affected the glazenuts/apricot combo to make more glazenut seeds.

Oh god, we're going to be drowning in carrots this weekend XD

Sure are! They temporarily dropped to around 7-8k on Leviathan, then somebody put up a stack of 83 for 6999 or w/e, which I snatched up as fast as I could. They're back up to 13k.

Well I just harvested 8 x 18 krakka roots from my medium garden.... 144 carrots go!

I just harvested the Krakka Root from my bed, which looked like:

Krakka Root - Prickly Pineapple - Krakka Root
Star Anise - Scarecrow - Honey Lemon
Krakka Root - Dzmael Tomato - Krakka Root

Planted them top left going clockwise, None of the seeds produced gave me anything special, just a mix of lowest tier seeds like Midland Cabbage and Rolanberry seeds. Did manage 18 Krakka Root out of the first slot with Shroud 3 soil. 4 plants still to harvest on the bed.

3 of my other plants just finished up, have some interesting results. The Prickly Pineapple turned into a Mimett Gourd Seeds and the Dzmael Tomato turned into Sylkis Bud Seeds. Just harvested the Star Anise and was given a bag of Eggplant Knight seeds!

Would like to see if they're random before planting a bed of those but it's nice to know that combo is possible.

My thought was to throw a bed together of all the relevant vegetables and see. I'm going to wait and see if the mixed crop if stuff I have growing right now for magicked brooms gives me anything.

Well, I just got some eggplant knight seeds too

Glazenut Glazenut Glazenut
Flax x Flax
Mandrake Flax Mandrake

I got from the middle left flax plant



Also the icon for the eggplant knight seeds is similar but slightly different to the krakka root. So I'm assuming they're a new type or tier of seed.

So we have



(Krakka, same as eggplant with no loop)
(eggplant knight, has a loop on the bag)

I'm growing a bunch of halone gerbera seeds (az rose v cham) in the other bed. I'll see if we get anything from that.

Looks like eggplant knight could be a random chance from blue like seeds then.

I just harvest my first bed of the standard Apricot x Glazenut bed that was planted post 2.3 release and none of the Apricots produced Glazenut seeds. I used grade 2 Thanalan soil, so the inter-cross chances were slightly lower, but it might be that this cross doesn't work both ways now or something, as I always got at least 1-2 seeds back out of 4 when I used Grade 2 thanalan.

interesting that the new mandies are rare/random seeds. that's pretty cool if so. my glaze nut/apricot harvest did not held me any mandies... will need to see if my jute/mandrake give me anything

I got glazenut seeds from mine. You should have used than grade 3

and just got jute seeds x4 from mandrake and jute combo. (the jute has not yet harvested to know if they crossed with the mandrake to give me a pet)

Results:
Nothing - Onion Prince - Mimmet Gourd
Midland Cabbage - xxx - Sylkis Bud
Nothing - Blood Currant - Midland Cabbage

Not sure what conclusions to make. I got both Cabbage and Sylkis Bud from Dzemael + Krakka combo
