A long time once and then you can loop the end result and get 4 glazenut, 4 jute, and 4 broombush every single time you harvest.

I am not a gardener, so my ignorance is showing here, but your statement implies that every yield results in a crossbreed that you can turn around and use again. Is that the case? Because my limited knowledge on the subject was not aware of that.

Not that it greatly matters, because I am not the FC gardener.

Yes. There are combos such that, for example, glazenut + plant = glazenut.

I'm aware the combos exist, my question was whether or not the result always results in another seed. I was under the impression that there was ever only a chance for a seed, never a guarantee.

You always get back 7 seeds.

Doesn't that require 3 planters to pull off the constant cycle?

Yes with grade 3. No reason to use anything other than grade 3.

So what is the plant formation for 4 glazenut/jute/broombush?

Or, as Anthonystar said, do you need multiple garden patches to accomplish this?

Only for Glazenuts since you require Apricots. Jutes/Broombush you can easily gather the required seed to cross-breed, its just time consuming and a bit of RNG for them to pop on the gathering node (I gone through dry spells where no seed popped in 20-30 mins of gathering).

As for the cross-bred seeds, using Grade 3 Thanalan soil is only one you want when you are using the high tier where you can only get one seed anyways. Though, you do not always get 7 seeds per batch back, you will get 4 on average, even with bad luck since its all RNG but there has been rare instances where I gotten 2 seeds, and other times I gotten 7 but the safe assumption to make with grade 3 Thanalan soil is 4+ seeds.

You need one garden bed for each. Sorry, thought that was a given.

I'm still new to the gardening thing, for self-sustaining glaze nut gardens you just plant glazenut seeds and apricot kernels with than-3?

    Edit:
Also I have trouble understanding this

    https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/...der=true&gid=0

I tried the Dzmael tomato/krakka for sylkis buds and only got krakka roots back and midland vegetable seeds. Where did I go wrong?

Our FC has it's own large that I don't touch, but me and my wife own an FC with a medium. We assumed the weekly cycle you posted wasn't possible with 2 beds, but just needed confirmation so thank you for that.

Will just need to run a bi-weekly cycle instead.

You can still do the cycle, just only 2 of the 3 at a time.

    hey guys,

I'm new to garderning. I found some of this post very helpful to someone new like myself.

I couldn't find the "layout" for chocobo raising food. Could someone let me know what soil and seeds needs to be used for it?

example of a helpful layout so I know where to place the seeds and is there an order to place it or can I start from top?:

Mandrake - Garlic Clove (middle) - Mandrake
Garlic Clove (middle) V Garlic Clove (middle)
Mandrake - Garlic Clove (middle) - Mandrake

Assuming you're wanting the Garlic Jester based on that, you need to put grade 3 thanalan soil on the garlic cloves.

The one that used Krakka Root Seeds. How's the order in placing it though? That's what im mainly concerned, i dont want to place it wrong and grow something else. can I place 8 krakka root seeds in the garden? like

krakka root seeds- krakka root seeds (middle) -krakka root seeds
krakka root seeds -krakka root seeds (middle) V krakka root seeds
krakka root seeds- krakka root seeds (middle) - krakka root seeds

i read that grade 3 than soil is used for crossbreeding so its safe to say i dont need to waste grade 3 than soil to grow chocobo food, right? can i use grade 2 than soil?
