A bunch sold for 750-1m on my server.
Figured I'd share, the old spreadsheet owner took it to the next level.

More contributors could lead to excellence! Not that it isn't already pretty damn good.
Newbie to gardening so probably have a stupid question here but didn't see it in the thread. I put in my first plants in 2 large beds a couple of days ago and now all the corner plants are glowing which should mean good to pull. The plants that aren't on the corners aren't glowing however so what should I do at this point? Pull the corners and still tend/fertilize the others until they grow or keep the corners there?
Yes - the glowy plants are ready to harvest. I would harvest them soon - as after a day or three they will die. The rest of the plants are still growing. Different grades of plants can take longer or shorter times to grow. Choco krakka root seems to grow extra fast. While broombush and glazenuts and than. onions all take longer.
Continue to fertilize and tend your remaining plants. Every time you fertilize you take an hour off the growing time - is the theory behind doing it. You can fertilize once an hour. Tending needs to be done at least once a day or the plants will get purple fog and after a couple days they would die. I fertilize and tend as often as I can - which means I login before work fertilize/tend, go to work come home, login fertilize/tend... And so on as much as I can.
Once you harvest a plant - you can plant another seed where you just harvested.
I'd recommend searching around and looking into ffxiv gardening - there is lots of info out there that will explain lots of things like planting and harvesting and grades of dirt and what the different types do and how cross breeding plants works and on and on - lots of stuff for something that seems easy.
Gardening is a lot of fun. You can grow lots of things that are unique - like minions or materials for making minions. And some of these things have a lot of value. Grade 3 thanalan soil on my server sells for about 45k for just one - marketplace prices widely vary based on the economy of that specific server.
If you want to get whizzy stuff from the garden - you will have to learn some and try it out. I love my one deluxe garden we have for our FC. I grow things slowly because we only have one garden. I also try to read up on gardening forums and anything I can do to learn more so that I can do smart things with our garden. Little details become important - like planting the whole garden clockwise or counterclockwise - so that you have the best chances for cross breeding plants (which happens when you plant the seed). Take your time - have fun - learn some here and there and experiment - it's great fun!
Also be patient. Gardening isn't an instant gratification aspect of this game - it's a slow patient waiting aspect.
Good luck - gardening really is a lot of fun - just go slow, learn and share.![]()
I took the one we had down and had an FC member with a rank 10 use it. I'm a little surprised neither of them sold when it dipped under 5M. I'm guessing since there's not really a good way to "show off" your rank 11 chocobo to many people, there's not as big of a demand as I thought.
I think you'll see demand for thav onions pick up if chocobo racing gets announced for 2.4. Then it's just a matter of whether an efficient growing cycle has been discovered that would allow supply to keep up.
Yeah, part of the problem is that chocobo level isn't very epeen above the 10 cap.
Whatever, I wanna see my chocobo with all 3 crit15s and STR15s and see if he does more DPS than shitty trial DR pugs.
Just so people know, the minions actually are capable of intercrossing with one another, as long as they're different types. Got 4x Broombush seeds across 2 beds out of intercrossing Mandy Queens with Onion Prince/Garlic Jester/Eggplant Knight.
Glaze X Mimmet X Jute = Thav Onion seeds #2
Pearl Roselle can be crossed, got a Jute seed last night from one. Not entirely sure what it was crossed with, probably Mandrake or Wizard Eggplant.
Okay, last report was a bit off. Have harvested all but my T. Onions, now I can get it right.
Original rotation:
(King Tomato) (Glazenut) (Mimmet)
(Az. Rose) () (Jute)
(Mimmet) (Shroud Tea) (Thav Onion)
Seed Harvest: Planted 7/30 8:30AM EST
KT / Glaze / Jute were all harvested 9:00AM EST 8/5. T. Onion still growing...
(X) (Star Anise) (T. Onion)
(X) () (T. Onion)
(X) (Mandrake) (Still Growing)
Any idea why I got such a low number of seeds? G3 Thanalan for all, planted all at the same time in a clockwise rotation.
Edit: Also, is there a list of what is considered "highest tier" seeds for each type? Trying to see if I can keep crossing T Onions without shelling out for jute / glaze seeds.
My god, Thavnarian Onions take a long ass time to grow. I think we're almost at two full days past the longest growing seed prior.
Yep, I think its 8 or 9 days. FEELS LIKE FOREVER
how long does it take to grow minion? it's been 10 days... i put garlic jester and kakkra roots with shrould 3 soil. krakka roots already grew and i already removed everything.. now ive been tending garlic jester.. it looks the same10 days
Are you fertilizing them? The minions take a while but weren't that bad for me...
I remember it taking like 7 days with pretty frequent fertilization, certainly not 10 days.
I'm no gardening master so I don't know why someone would say to fertilize only once per day (tending once per day sounds right though) but I fertilized as often as I could remember to.
