Yeah, I've had shit runs trying to get onion seeds. I count myself lucky if I get one...
With how easy gil is to come by tempted to just buy 8 seeds and one onion, spam feed it xp food D:
I always gets at least one/4 patches, sometimes 2.
will mimet - jute - mimet yield thav onion?
thanks! mimet becoming dirt cheap and i cant sell them... gotta buy some broom/jute/glaze and try
Mimet Gourd seeds are still 99k on Hyperion.![]()
Perpetual jute by doing mandrake x jute x mandrake x jute and so on? Anyone have success with this? The perpetual part, I mean (I know mandrake x jute does indeed make jute seeds although I wonder if it can make something else like god damn shroud tea seeds).

Only makes Jute it looks like.
That's what I've been using. I guess I'll try it.
I was wondering what dirt you used. thank you in advance![]()
The only soil worth using is Grade 3 Thanalan. Unless you're not trying to cross your plants and only want a bigger yield from whatever you're growing, in which case you want to use Grade 3 Shroud.
Still kind of recent to gardening so looking for a reality/logic check. I have a bunch of assorted minions I want to plant that will also get Broombrush chances. According to http://www.ffxivgardening.com/seed-d....php?SeedID=43 I came to something like... (starting from top-left, going clockwise)
Queen - Eggplant - Garlic
King - xxxxxx - King
Garlic - Eggplant - Queen
Because I can't have King next to Eggplant, someone needs to "go first", and Eggplant > Queen one-way isn't a problem this way. Is this right?
Looks right to me. I'd plant it.
I haven't forgot you friends, will post my 2 gardens with 8 dead thav. onions in it later tonight
I find that thavnarian onions are not worth selling. On Leviathan the price has been cut in half from 1 million+ to around 500k and continues to go down. They also only sell around 1-2 per week. For a plant that takes 9 days to spawn there's not very much profit to it. I'd stick with the never ending jute or glazenut combo. Those prices are actually on the rise, and while they may fall at the end of the month, the fact that they're used in a ton of stuff will keep them selling, and prices good.
thats what i thought as well
if you purely do krakka + pricky for mimets, over the same duration as trying to get onions with those expensive seeds, you will realise you are actually making just about the same
unless you can get more than 4 thav onions every 8 plants, you are not making a profit at all
sell those mimet and you can buy the same amount of thav onions
