Superior training and superior weaponry.
Superior training and superior weaponry.
Yeah Ghandi was a pacifist... except of course when he was sergeant major in the british army and fought against the Zulu in South Africa.
Ghandi in Civilization V was somewhat an easter egg.
They actually mined the character behaviour data of the AI. It has got a grading system on a scale of 10 at "tendency to backstab", "city-state relations", "tendency to use nukes", etc. When it comes to nukes, Ghandi had like 12 on a scale of 1 to 10 (hence, no room even for the dice).
squeeee!
sentient planet is so cliche, though. i hope that's not the only win condition for harmony.
Hmm, a web based tech tree. Reminds me of Endless Space.

About Sid Meier's Civilization: Beyond Earth
Civilization: Beyond Earth will propel the development of humanity beyond the traditional timeline of a Civilization game by exploring the future of mankind on an alien world. For the first time, players will lead factions divided by contrasting cultures and evolve their new civilizations to reflect their chosen style of play. Players will experience an array of new gameplay possibilities, including nonlinear technology progression through the new Tech Web, the introduction of a new Orbital Layer, and a new Quest system that will unlock additional details about the alien world in addition to new resources and upgrades.
Nice, the October date will follow the September games I'm looking at very well.

Mod edit: don't post gamespot on BG.
Yah, I'm pretty excited for this. I thought CIV V was ass, so hopefully this feels a little more like CIV IV or Alpha Centauri.
V has improved immensely with expansions and mods. still not ideal, but playable.
from what i can tell BE looks waaaaay better.
I love civ5 but that is probably because I never played the prior ones before it. I have tried civ4 since but just can't do it. Can't wait for this guy!
"The future is but more turn away." lol! fucking assholes, they know what theyre doing to us
Starter Guide released yesterday. I'm so excited!
Not that I'm poor, but 2k has thrown on another $30 for Australian/New Zealanders, despite there being no digital goods and services tax. Looks like I will either be waiting a while or obtaining it by nefarious means.
at the moment, on steam, 49.99 for US pplz, and 89 for AUS. wot mate?
