I'm kinda/sorta surprised they didnt bring Coulson back for AoU, but then again I guess anybody not watching Agents of SHIELD wouldve been greatly confused, unless you know, he said "Yo, I got dat alien in me now thanks to my homie Fury and I'm back" but none the less, like somebody else mentioned, missed opportunity to connect them.

Guess you missed all the dirty laundry Joss Whedon has been airing since Avengers 2 came out. Short version is he wanted Coulson to stay dead and marvel overrode him. Never had a chance of him being in the movie, but maybe in 3 since Whedon's not making it.

There were early reports that BJ Britt was going to be in A2 so it's not a big leap to think it could be him, though it's obviously not.

Idiotic as hell that in the end Gonzalez and Raina ended up doing the right thing and Jiaying being stupid.

I think it was a good twist. Up till the end we all thought that Raina and Gonzalez were being the badguys but Jiaying being completely fucked up from her torture and shit makes a lot of sense and that fear of keeping her people safe would do that.

Mockingbird (Adrianne Palicki), a kickass operative who wields cool ninja sticks and has quickly established herself as one of the best female characters in the MCU. Earlier we reported that Palicki was set to star in her own S.H.I.E.L.D. spinoff series alongside Nick Blood, who plays Bobbi’s ex-husband and fellow spy Lance Hunter.

Now, however, Deadline is reporting ABC has put the brakes on that spinoff. Since the network renewed Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. for a third season, Deadline theorizes it may be nervous about poaching two popular characters from the series, which has struggled to garner the same fan enthusiasm as other Marvel properties.

And honestly, where the characters are right now before the season finale is not a good place to spin them off. The next season would have to build into it, but it has other shit it needs to be doing with it's runtime.

Is giving them their own spinoff the best move though? While I greatly enjoy Agent Carter, didn't it just barely get a season 2? Is doing a slow spin off of side chars really worth it? Also, I really like Hunter and don't want to lose him on Shield.
