Really good movie. Cameo at the beginning was legit; I wanted "that" character to pop in more so bad.

Movie also is another example of how amazing an actress Cate Blanchett is. That character could have easily gone into goofball villain territory, but she sold it perfectly.

I feel like they spent too much of the movie on the other planet. Might not have bothered me as much if I enjoyed the setpieces, but it just didn't work for me.

Loved the movie. Definitely surprised by how much comedy they worked into it but it kept me entertained throughout. Ruffalo's hulk continues to be great no matter what they do with him.

Also I totally thought Korg (who was just wonderful) was voiced by Sharlto Copley, saw in the credits that it was actually the director. Taika Waititi fuckin rules.

What We Do in the Shadows is an 11/10 so all I know is I'm watching Hunt for the Wilderpeople this weekend.

So presumably Thanos attacks to get the Tesseract back, leading to the scene where Thor is floating in space and crashes into the Guardians' ship. But does that mean he presumably kills all the other Asgardians (including Heimdall)?

That would be my guess. He would obviously have no issues doing so and it would help set up for the casual audience how deadly he can actually be.

A lot of people had problems with GotG2, mostly people who were expecting it to be as good or better than the first one. It only had a handful of moments that were up to par with the first, only 1 that was better, and quite a bit that was basically fanservice in the form of "oh you liked that in the first movie? let's do it AGAIN!"...oh, and a ton of really forced gags where Drax laughs so hard at his own "joke" it ruins it.
