I'm stunned more people aren't talking about this. I was dying when I realized who they were.

Wife and I saw it this morning. It was a solid film, we both really liked it. Sometimes there was a little too much push on the humor but aside from that a lot of fun. Really great how they tied little easter eggs to past Marvel films throughout.

    Things I didn't like:
    Spoiler: show
Dr. Strange cameo felt pretty pointless other than to remind the audience that he is still a thing in the MCU. I mean, yeah there were laughs and it was charming and stuff, but felt like it could have been left out of the movie completely.

I didn't like how team THOR FRIENDS got killed almost immediately with approximately 30 seconds of cumulative screen time. I guess it was needed to establish how badass Hela was.

    Things I liked:
    Spoiler: show
    Everything else.

Oh, something else I haven't seen any mention of:
    Spoiler: show
When Thor was strapped in the chair before meeting Jeff Goldblum, the music playing was a mix of "Pure Imagination" and the tunnel of nightmares music from Willie Wonka

    That made me so giddy.

Loved this movie. It was great. Much needed humor in Thor.

Was definitely humming along to this when it was playing in that scene lol.

It's nice that they finally figured out how to do Thor properly. Let's be honest here, first 2 movies were not great.

I think each one got progressively better. I was never on the "they're terrible" wagon, but the improvements have been noticeable/welcome.

I enjoyed Thor 1 but Thor 2 was garbage. I was ready to write off solo Thor movies if Ragnarok disappointed. But now?

I was a huge fan of Thor 1. 2 was completely forgettable though other than the infinity gem and Kat Dennings. 3 is easily the best movie in the trilogy now.

I don't know how they did it, but Marvel has three times now made sequels better than the original and another that was probably just as good. Getting hyped for Ant-Man and the Wasp.

IM3 and Avengers 2 still eh though.

    Question about the end:

    Spoiler: show
Is that Thanos at the end? Seems like he wipes out everyone on the ship then... It would make sense if the Space Gem was the first gem he gets, followed by the Reality or Power gems

Definitely explains how Thor gets where he is in the Infinity Wars trailer.

    Discussion above:

    Spoiler: show
For sure Loki nabbed the Tesseract when he was putting Surtur in the eternal Flame. Wouldn’t be surprised if he gave it up to free the Asgardians from Thanos’ wrath in order to gain more favour with the Asgardians as their savior and potential ruler and Thor was all like “no no, hero time” and got spanked and hence the trailer.

    IDK..

    Spoiler: show
WE all know how much of a threat Thanos is, but I feel the Asgardian's deaths will set the tone that he fucking means business. For the general audience, at least. I'd rather them go the route you mentioned. Don't need Korg and Valkyrie dying so early in the MCU.

Loki also had the Tesseract in the IW trailer so he did take it with him.

    Spoiler: show
I feel like Thanos killing everybody on that ship besides Thor (escaped) and Loki (bargained for his life with the tesseract) would be the best option to impress upon the general audience just how lethal and fearsome a villain he is right off the bat
