I hate that shit. Makes hockey people seem holier-than-thou. I've played plenty of basketball and hockey and I've had cramps in my calf muscles so bad I couldn't put any weight on my leg.

I've played pretty much every major sport organized at some point in my life and the only serious injury I've ever gotten was from basketball, lol
I just found it rather amusing, I have had some muscle cramps but I guess the general expectation is that you play through it, especially in the playoffs.
I played hockey with structural damage in my knee and elbow.
1) Lebrons a bitch
2) I'm a retard
the hockey comments on basketball are frankly embarrassing, you try playing hoops at lebrons level in a 90 degree arena with full leg tights. no shit he cramped up, and no shit he can't play on a cramp. he doesn't have the benefit of being slid down ice on skates to make it easier for one of a million other reasons the hockey comments are idiotic.
god i hate sports superiority bs
Pens select!...
/drumroll
Rutherford.
Hehehehehehehehe.
A shame no Pierre though.
OH THANK GOD
:/
You had one job Mario, ONE JOB
huh. outlook on him is... also very bad. puzzling choice. hell, i might have gone with pierre over him based on knowledge of the game alone. also isn't rutherford old as hell?
expound upon this - apparently he completely lost his way not long after the cup win and recent track history has been sending hurricanes into a cycle of fires & hires, seems unsure what he wants the team to be like, etc.
he did build a cup winner i suppose, so who knows. age would be my #1 concern.. its better to lock guys up for a while in that position
I'll be honest I don't know enough about him to make a really good judgment but the idea of Pierre McGuire as GM terrified me so I am quite relieved on that front.
Time for me to do some googling and educate myself.
You can move with your calf cramped, you just need a lot more energy out of your thigh and hip, getting all the lift and forward motion from your upper leg and your outside hip, to do it. Its not impossible and you can't run a marathon that way, but you could gut through 3 minutes.
Someone on Wiki didn't waste any time lol holy crap.

LolPens.
Its not about not playing through the pain, I'm pretty sure most people are laughing at the notion of needing to be carried off the court over a cramped leg.
dude with a full head of grey hair is one of the two people carrying his ass to a chair over a damn leg cramp. He's not limping off leaning on someone to support weight on his bad leg, he's being CARRIED off like a bitch.
OK cramps hurt like hell while the muscle is contracted. most of the time they don't last very long though. maybe a few min at most and then all you are is sore in that muscle. being carried off is a little much. his muscle is going to be sore afterwards but people in the NHL and NFL play with broken and torn body parts. I'm not saying he should play through the cramp. I'm saying he needs to get back out there after the cramp. if the coach didn't put him in cause it was a blow out game or something that's a dif story. I didn't see the game so I'm not really sure.
lets go rangers. no more turn overs in our own zone and rick nash to wardrobe please.
Whew.
lol you might have been better off with Pierre
