I've worked a lot of shitty jobs, so I empathize, if that's actually the case. It's speculation, but there is the possibility that some of them don't want to deal with that kind of shit but have no choice. Probably not very likely, but as someone who has been there, I can understand that perspective.

If not, I agree that they're stupid to stay there and take that kind of shit, even if they enjoy the attention or whatever they're in it for.
