I will always be excited for more Simon Pegg Scotty.

Another movie that's not getting my money.
Well, this movie had to be rushed because they wanted to release the movie in 2016 which is the 50th anniversary of Star Trek. Simon Pegg had to step in and write the movie after they got rid of Roberto Orci because supposedly his script involved Starfleet and the Vulcans vying for Time Travel tech. The Vulcans wanted to go back in time to save their planet from destruction and it was this time travel element that would have let Chris Pine's Kirk meet up with Shatner's Kirk. That goodness this is not the movie that is being presented...
I'm honestly happy theres no Shatner Kirk. His time is over. Let it go.
I bet it will be fun am cautiously hype
I still enjoy the entire cast. Might not catch this in the theater though.
So Enterprise is destroyed, the crew crashes on a planet with a population of different kind of aliens all enslaved, crew has to figure out what's going on.
That actually sounds like a legit old-school Star Trek episode.
It's like Star Trek 3 all over again.
Was that fucking SPOCK delivering a line about "finding hope in the impossible?" I give up on this shit.
Never was a fan and non-fan (as I never saw them) of the franchise prior to the 2009 movie, so I'm not as attached as fans who have been in it longer.
That being said, I'm freaking in for Fast and Furious in space. This is going to be nuts in a good way.
No wonder the movie will succeed. Idiots like you don't even realize these are remakes of good movies with Kirk and Spock switched.
It's a shame because the cast is perfect.
Damn casuals
I did read up on the switcheroo for Kirk and Spock in Into Darkness and thought that was neat. I know jack shit about Star Trek but I still enjoyed the the 2009 one and Into Darkness as a new fan of the franchise.
I'm in for this movie as I like the cast and what Justin has done with Fast & Furious, but will not necessarily shore up the money to see it in the theaters though.
I play FFRK, can confirm, am casual.
I'm down. I've thoroughly enjoyed the previous two.
God, the switch in Into Darkness was just awful. Yes, lets kill off Kirk, have Spock mourn his friends death after ripping the iconography then rez him with Tribble blood all within the span of 30mins. Why? To remind the audience there's another movie that did it better.
This thread is the reason I can never take anyone but Tyvens opinion on media seriously
