Love hearing the announcers when they announced the winner. Shit is fucked up.

Japanese pole vaulter’s Olympic dream crushed by his own penislol, alsoNEVER before has a member of the male species wished for a smaller manhood. Until now.
Japanese pole vaulter Hiroki Ogita will be ruing the size of his phallus after it caused him to foul during the qualifying rounds in the men’s event in Rio.
Ogita was attempting to clear a height of 5.3 metres in group A of the first round of the pole vault, when his leg came in contact with the bar. As he began to drop back down towards the ground, his shin grazed the bar, causing it to wobble dangerously.
But it was his penis that delivered the final blow. Already unsteady, the bar was dislodged from its holdings when Ogita’s old fellow decided to make an appearance and slap the metal. The vaulter’s arm then collected the bar as it began to fall.
Video footage showed the crushing moment the 28-year-old was let down by his trouser friend.

Human leg found in Rio waters close to Olympics sailing courses
Police have recovered a human leg from the Rio waters close to the Olympics sailing course.
The discovery comes soon after New Zealanders were racing in the area.
The Daily Mail reported that residents of Ilha do Governador called police after they saw the leg bobbing in waters near the coastline.
It was reportedly a male leg, which had been chopped off at the hip. Police said it had the name "Kauan" tattooed on the calf.
Let's be honest.. I'm not the only one who was going to google it.
I thought it was fake because no Japanese man has ever lamented the size of his junk.
Sucks to be a shower not a grower.
A Rio judge has issued an order to seize the passports of Ryan Lochte and James Feigen. Lochte is already back in the US.
According to the warrant, the two gave conflicting accounts of being robbed.
Sinse nobody talked about it did anybody see the finals of the women's 400m a couple nights ago? American Allyson Felix had the lead coming down the home stretch and it looked like she was going to win the race. But then the person behind her, Shaunae Miller of the Bahamas, left her feet and dove across the finish line and it counted and she beat Felix. I didn't even know they could do stuff like that! Feels like cheating to me.

Someone made a flash game of the Russian vs Irish fight.
It's not explicitly against the rules, so I don't see it as cheating at all. If anything it showed she wanted it more.
Diving into bits of shredded rubber is not exactly a fun thing to do. I sincerely doubt this would become widespread.
I've seen a lot of very close races this month, if diving is enough to win I can see it being used more. I'd risk a dive into rubber for the gold.

From this dive, and the other races I've seen, I'm under the impression you need to have torse or foot over the line to be finished, whichever comes first. I've seen a lot of replays stare at feet crossing the finish line, but the replay of the dive I saw only talked about the torso crossing first.
At this point, /shrug. We still in first homey, so idc.

Many people have dove for medals before, this isn't the first nor last time. It's an accepted thing.
She didn't really dive. Her legs gave way and she was going to fall so.... also she ran for 398m and dove for 2m. That shit still counts.
