How did you guys get Atma so fast?!
I was even trying the JP time theory and yet 3/12 for the rest of my life...
Why is it that every time they announce the month for a content update its always the last fucking day of the month. Been waiting for 2.28 to come out because i'm too lazy for the myth farm right now.
Feels to me like 2.28 got pushed back cuz of animus nonsense that or the pvp changes took longer then expected. Hope patch is little bit bigger to compensate, think they pushed up few things from 2.3 but can't remember what it was.
People will want i80 gear to fill in empty slots for alts, retainers and to trade in for seals. I have 4 retainers and whilst the usage rate has gone down now they're all 50, I still get through quite a few seals a day. I still see a lot of people out there in the new i70 gear, or at least pieces of it. People don't get to 50 and immediately pop at ilvl 70 either. They have to hit 72-75 for Coil. Dungeons are less terrifying if you're new or don't know a big group of people. I've spammed a lot of Coil but need to go back for more gear because I have bad luck with caster drops. Casual peeps are far more likely to be working on Zodiac weapons and not have access to Coil v2 or Leviathan so will be using their myth tomes for books.
If you've capped out your crafting classes there isn't much incentive to trade crafting mats for seals either. Dunno, there will always be a market for suboptimal gear, if nothing else it will help you gear to be able to access or usefully contribute in higher level content. CT is a prime example of this. Even though myth and Allagan gear was out there, a lot of people grabbed CT gear for secondary classes, alts and retainers.
I'm still 0/infinite on the fucking Tonberry pet. I check out when it comes to 1% drops requiring a time investment. Being fucked by dice isn't fun.
Doing boarskin maps almost every day since maps came out (in the beginning I did peistes for a while when people actually did maps) and I've gotten 1!
That's a poor example tho since there's reason to do the maps outside of that 1 silly low drop rate item, unlike something like Levi EX which has virtually no purpose aside from the mirror.
Took me around 55 attempts to get my tonberry minion. Got a second in around a dozen attempts thereafter. Such crap rng.
Earned my 20 Boarskin Maps achievement on Feb20. I haven't missed a day since. MY BOAT WILL COME IN, DAMMIT. SOMEDAY. My... train will come in? MY ZEPPELIN, SHE COMETH.
the point wasn't to actively farm for it, the point was you put that in the new dungeons and some people would do those for Soldiery until they cap instead of endless Bray runs.
how else do you make the 3 new dungeons better than sub 10 min Bray runs? how short are the new dungeons suppose to be or are they suppose to be 30 mins and give 200 myth and 150 Soldiery each?
"Put shit in people will want and can get..." seems like a good start for making content viable. But I guess we still have to overcome that side of the population that believes people shouldn't have nice things regardless of reasonable effort.
