    Does anyone use ACT with WTFast? If I am running FFXIV on its own, I can parse using ACT without issue (Network data is enabled, rules in firewall etc) but the moment I enable WTFast to help with connection problems in instances my ACT breaks and simply refuses to parse. I can't seem to find anyone else with this issue which is making it hard to solve.

    That's a weird issue and first I've heard of it. Me and a couple of my FC and LS mates use act and WTFast but we don't have that issue at all. Have you tried posting on the ACT forums? Ravahn is pretty quick with replying to problems that come up.

    I'm not familiar with WTFast but it sounds like you're trying to sniff encrypted (WTFast VPN) traffic with ACT? Is ACT not on the same machine you're running ffxiv?

    They are both on the same PC, I finally managed to get it going last night through some combination of removing the plugin, adding it back in, disabling, re-enabling, etc. I am not sure what magic combination I hit upon that I had not tried previously but on our final pull of the night it finally started parsing again.

    Maybe I'm off on understanding how ACT works, but why would you need network data enabled if you are running it on the same machine?

    I reinstalled ACT a while back and I can't remember how you get the encounter display to create an "All" at the top of the encounter list with the combined parses of all the separate encounters within a zone.

    edit: nvm found it, was looking in the encounter view options and it's in the Misc options

    Is there something else I have to do to get the program to accurately get damage? I have everything set to show on the battle log window but the damage seems to heavily favor scholars? For example I'm at 48% for keeper run.

    While that is quite high, are you sure your party members aren't just terrible.

    No, i really wasn't paying a whole lot of attention and the run went relatively quick regardless. Is it possible Eos heals being factored as damage instead?

    There's also no damage taken for party members?

    Sounds like stuff is missing then, don't know where to start looking for the issue tho.

    Can try going to the XIV plugin settings and testing the game connection.

    Can look in Miscellaneous under the Options tab as well for some options that could be the problem.

    It was the local ip address, i just set it to all and it appears to have corrected the issue.

    I've noticed ACT attributing weird extra damage and extra hits to certain attacks and skills, and aside from possibly skewing the numbers incorrectly it's kind of confusing when reviewing the info.

    ex.

    Spoiler: show

    Bootshines -> 31
    True Strikes -> 32
    Dragon Kicks -> 149 (34*)
    Twin Snakes -> 66 (33*)

    DK has a ton of extra 15 dmg hits attributed to it as if ACT thinks it's a DoT (but multiple values show up per second) and Twin Snakes has a bunch too (not as many).

    edit: It does it with other stuff like Mudras and Wrath but it's generally pretty inconsequential and ignorable, in this case it kinda fucks with the numbers tho (at least when trying to review the parse).

    I think the screenshot is probably showing the 'All Outgoing (Ref)' node, which includes not only damage but buffs and heals. There's another node - 'Outgoing Damage' - which only includes the damage numbers

    The "15" rows are probably due to buff effects that last for 15 seconds. The plugin records the buff duration when all buffs/debuffs land, including DoTs. This does not affect the DPS totals shown on the various summary screens, since ACT filters out non-damage data from those numbers.

    Aha, was a bit confusing but I guess it doesn't much matter as long as it's interpreted by the parse correctly, thanks.

    Been over a year since I've messed with this program. I DL'd the setup file, and the FFXIV Parsing plugin file, started it up and tried to parse a run, but it didn't parse. It just always says New Gridania in the upper left corner, and doesn't vary from that. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong? It's been awhile. ><;

    Did you run as administrator and open up your firewall?

    I'm probably missing something obvious, but i can't get MPtimer to show up anywhere on my screen. i've messed with the settings a bunch and i have no issues with any other overlays, but just can't get the timer to appear. is there something specific i should do for it to show up?

    When I first set it up I had to uncheck the 'check network packets' (something like that) option for it to work.

    If you're talking about the "disable parsing from network data" thing I'm pretty sure you're supposed to create a permission or something with your router to make it work (idk the specifics of how to do it, didn't have to).

    You want to be able to parse the network data because it's more accurate than scanning memory (stuff gets lost).

    I notice whenever I open it, it always loads the name of the area I'm in. But won't do anything past that. Won't even change the area if I zone(unless I reload ACT). I'm pretty clueless atm as to what it is wrong.
