Go to Plugins -> FFXIV Settings and test the game connection, what's it say.

(obviously XIV needs to be running)

I went there and this is the message I got.

"Unable to access network data due to Windows Firewall. Please disable, or add a TCP rule for Advanced Combat Tracker."

Then, directly after that, I got another message.

Failed: Memory is configured, but unable to access network data. Make sure ACT is running as an Administrator."

Right click ACT -> Compatibility -> Check box to run as Admin

Can't help you with Windows Firewall, I don't use it.

I've been running act as admin, and I've just finished trying every setting I could find in my kaspersky av/firewall for allowing network access and act is still unsuccessful. Went all the way to making it a trusted app, checked all the "do not scan X' options and allowed any network activity to any address. Even disabled the av and still no worky. Only thing I can guess is maybe the virtualbox network adapter is throwing it off, or kaspersky isn't really cutting off when I cut it off. Windows firewall has no settings since it says kaspersky is managing things.

Can try disabling the Windows Firewall service entirely I guess?

Or simply add an exception in the firewall for ACT.exe

The process to do so is rather simple and easily found on google.
I believe it's even documented in Ravahn's forum topic for his plugin.
    (or on the Github page)

    Using kaspersky, not windows firewall.

Process should be relatively the same, you just need to add the exception for ACT in Kaspersky's options.

    Did that with no luck.

Went all the way to making it a trusted app, checked all the "do not scan X' options and allowed any network activity to any address. Even disabled the av and still no worky.

Are you sure windows firewall isn't turning on when you disable your AV, why I suggested disabling the process entirely before.

If you've already done that then idk.

After turning off my kaspersky I could finally get into the windows firewall, and that was when the weirdness started. I went in to the rules and added an inbound rule for act allowing any address, any port and it wouldn't work. Then I clicked on the allow a program thing and picked act and it works. Go back into the rules and there is the rule I created and the new one from the other dialog box, and the only difference was mine allowed any port while the one made by windows only allows tcp. Made my rule identical to the windows one and it doesn't work if I disable the windows rule. Makes zero sense, but it works now, so thanks guys^^.

ACT doesn't work for me since update, and i'm not saying it doesn't parse, but the plugin itself doesn't load anymore

When I start ACT it says I have no plugins
If I go to plugins I see the FFXIV plugin but it's unloaded
when I try to load it I get this error

"An item with the same key has alraedy been added"

I tried deleting the plugin and reinstalling it, and no good.

Any idea? I don't wanna reinstall ACT if possible

Don't use the x86 launcher if using DX11 and it should run fine.

It should just work. Hmm. Can you email me (ravahn at hotmail.com) the last 100 or 200 lines from your ACT error log? you can find it by going to the About tab in ACT, and clicking the 'App Data Folder' link. The filename is Advanced Combat Tracker.log.

Also, try turning off all other ACT plugins and see if that lets you load the FFXIV plugin.

EDIT: Whoops, didn't read your last post. Sounds like a config file issue, but I didn't touch any config settings, so very strange.

I keep getting the error whenever the XIV plugin tries to update.

I've reinstalled everything since moving to a new PC but I copy-pasted all the AppData files to keep all my triggers and settings and such.

Could that be causing the issue? If so is there a way to fix it without losing all my settings? (there's a lot of goddamn settings.....)

Everyone I know has been having that same key error. I close ACT, open it again, then try to enable the plugin again. Typically works after 2-3 tries.

If you were one to use the Overlay Plugin and Enmity plugin add-on, they both got updated today to work with the DX11 client. Aside from the new job icons for the fancy overlays and more updates to the parsing plugin for better accuracy, seems everything is finally caught up.

The parsing plugin is mostly stable, but three remaining issues:
    • Limit Breaks are not categorized separately anymore. I'll fix this soon.
    • DoT crit ticks are not including the bonus from Crit %. Previously it was a fixed 1.5x multiplier, with 3.0 this has changed. Until I can figure the formula out myself or someone can provide reliable data, DoT crits will be a little bit off. It seems like the multiplier can go as low as 1.45x now, so depending on gear DoT crits may be under-estimated or over-estimated.
    • Skill and Spell Speed increase Dot tick amount using an unknown formula.

I still have a lot of analysis and fine-tuning to do, so new issues may crop up.
