So based off of what I'm hearing, there's no Battle Frontier in ORAS, and they actually just straight copy-pasted the Battle Maison from XY to the tail end.

I'd like to believe that's what will happen, but I'm pretty sure Masuda has said in the past that he doesn't like DLC (which is kinda laughable coming from someone who works on Pokemon of all franchises), and these are the same people who arn't going to patch a 1-year-old game and basically outdate them using a generation 6.5 thing with the new Mega Evolutions.

Perhaps not specifically related to AS/OR, but I have a Shiny Arcanine that's been with me since Silver, and is currently in my version of Pearl. Is there a way I can get him from Pearl to these new games? I have Black, Black 2, and I can buy X or Y if necessary.

There's a transfer lab from gen 4 to gen 5, then you have to use the Pokemon Bank to get them from gen 5 to gen 6, but IIRC everyone gets a free month on Pokemon bank. The assumption is that they're going to be using Pokemon Bank moving forward, if so you actually don't need to buy any gen 6 game.

Already got my copy at a local GameStop that was holding a midnight release. The rival theme kicks ass. GameFreak did this right so far, IMO. Some very nice touches so far, even at the very beginning.

Ok then! I'm already finding out some very interesting things. Spoilering below in case you want to find out about it yourself. It happens pretty early in the game.

First off, after you get your Pokeballs from May and start going out to catch your own Pokemon, go a little farther up into Route 101 and May will introduce you to "sneaking" up to Pokemon that are shaking the grass nearby. Apparently, these Pokemon have moves that they normally wouldn't have if you had caught them normally.

I've caught 2 so far using this method. The first (the intro) was a Poochyena with Fire Fang, and the second was a Zigzagoon with Charm (Fairy type Attack Down move) These moves will replace the move that occupies the first slot, so in the case of the Zigzagoon, Charm replaced Tackle.

I found a special Zigzagoon but it did not have any new moves. My Poochyena had Thunderfang though. And I did find a Seedot with Beat Up. Too bad I already have the grass starter. That makes Seedot actually usable to play with.

Oh cool, so the move it can have can be different. That's really interesting! Your Poochyena has Thunder Fang and mine has Fire Fang.
