So...did it step in something? like blue tar or something?

I honestly can't wait to see how they make all the super colorful zords transform into.... that.
Dunno it has like a 10% resemblance to the zords and i agree with the tar comment because I don't get that either
I'm really hoping it's just a shoop

FUCK
I was on the fence about this movie, but that reveal just humpty dumpty'd my expectations.
The lack of moving parts will make it look cheap and soulless. The tar thing is a strut to keep the figure erect, like a Roman knockoff.
So they made the zords look like they got coated in rainbow jizz, but make the megazord look as bland as humanly possible? What?
Film's original concept art;

Well Insane's pick looks a lot better, but the original concept art is still the best IMO.
That original concept looks amazing..
You realize what will probably happen is the same as Transformers... Where they'll have the old school one that gets wrecked before our heroes come together and revitalize their Zords to form the atrocity above.
Isn't that exactly what happened in the Ooze movie though?
While I do agree with the fact that this new Megazord, if true, looks trash, I still want film studios to at least attempt to push our childhood things to better heights. It's easy to simply copy the old formula but then we get the feeling of "there's nothing new". I think using nostalgia as a plot is fine as along as it's creative and brings new light to that genre, something that sticking to the old and already successful concepts wouldn't really achieve. We are in a prime time of film making where the series of old are being remade left and right and it would be wonderful if they were all "done right" but there isn't much progression without the failure. And besides, you're getting up in arms over a toy versus a drawing. It's overly optimistic of me to say that these studios will learn from the mistakes from the others failures (some do; Sup Marvel || some don't; Sup Transformers) but let them fail so we can try to crank out quality films.
