They mentioned they were in soul pyres in the notes:
Obtained from Soul Pyres
There is a slight chance that players will receive high-purity bayld when they open a Soul Pyre containing bayld.

Never liked them, but ever since JSE capes showed up in them, I at least check them when they pop. Guess I'll have to actually try and open them now. XD Didn't someone post a strat on how to get them 100% of the time within 4 checks or something awhile back?
Anyone know anything about the quest Quiescence? https://www.bg-wiki.com/bg/Quiescence
Does this have to do with the ergon weapons?
Adding a possibly interesting item with a low drop rate to something which is fundamentally wrong doesn't seem to me like an attempt to "breathe life into something people stopped bothering with".
Or if you want, a pretty weak, unefficient and lazy one.
If they really wanted to breathe more life into it they should have tweaked the system by making it more fun and less frustrating/annoying, then more people would have bothered with it wether they added the possibilty of a new drop or not.
Just my two cents on the topic, of course.
I mean, I don't want to be the guy constantly bitching. I apreciate the change, but it's not enough to "fix" pyres.
Paradoxically it makes me feel even more frustrated because now Pyres are potentially even more interesting, but still exactely as retarded as they used to be. It may sound wrong I guess, but that's how I feel about it =/
When you use pyres you get a message like "with your current knowledge of pyres, blah blah blah 10%". That to me seems to indicate we were meant to or will eventually be able to get KI's that give us more tries or make pyres easier.
I'd laugh if one of the last requirements for GEO/RUN mythic is like "Open 5,000 soul pyres" or getting 00001% drop rate key items from pyres in each zone
SE really should do official teasers of their music. Maybe not everyone's musically inclined, but to some, music like that really gets the blood pumpin for what's to come. Good stuff. Wonder if it'll be Inner Ra'kaznor music, 7th WKR, BC/mission, Hades theme, or just some CS music.
Believe so, but the portion it was used in was very short, didn't hear nearly as much of it as I would have liked, after listening to the full version. I should stop reading the text for a bit when I hear new music lol.
A JP on Bahamut completed stage 2 of the Run Ergon. It's kind of hard to get exact details out of him, but he did say that stage 3 is 9999 HPs. Can't get an answer out of him about any other requirements that might be a surprise. So 13099 HPs, 130 million bayld. -.- Better than the 15600 that was assumed at least.
Edit: Was finally able to get what I was asking across to him. The other items needed is 1 of the 2.5 mil Delve stones, and 200 Wailing Stones. No surprises or extras. I was half expecting 300 Beits, since they called them "mythic equivalents" like 5 times before the update.
thats not on par with mythic its right out insane lol.
no one will sell HP bayld for 10k most even consider less then 50 k worthless for the amount of time spent getting bayld (not includeing assignments).
here is hoping some kind if future event will drop HP-bayld pouches
Agreed. Assignments are kind of the kicker, atm. 1.1 HP in like 20 sec if you've got couriers capped, or the same amount in like 15ish minutes doing reives, hoping for no competition. If everyone was doing coalition assignments, maybe a case could be made for a lower price. As is though, it's a hard sale.
There's plenty more they could do to ease the issues surrounding farming bayld, without out right nerfing the work needed to get these. Outside of easing the ability for someone to work at it and get it in a reasonable amount of time, they'd have to inject more HPs directly into the market via pouches, higher drop rates from reives, multiple drop slots in WKR, etc. Not looking for an easy button, but 151 million bayld is pretty much madness, and buying outright is going to be harsh for awhile.
