Finally got this today. Drifting feels so different compared to 7. I keep trying to lightly drift around shallow bends and end up running inside too far and off the road. Gonna take a bit to re-adjust myself.

Online is pissing me off.

First place for 2.5 laps, last place at the last second.
Stay mid pack for the entire race, get caught up in crap, last place.
Get stuck in last place asap, stay in last.

Doesnt help that the same 5 maps are played over and over.

I've found if you get in front and manage to stay there its way more calm than the back end clusterfuck of trio red shells and fire flowers. Actually catching up to the guys in front though.. good luck with that. Once I found the perfect character combo for me the game turned into easy mode. Gold trophy 150cc cups first try and top 3 online all night. Gotta work on time trials though and keep getting that online score up!

Well, Target is supposedly doing a deal next week. With the way Amazon and Target have been going back and forth, I wouldn't be surprised if Amazon did a similar deal (which can then be combined with the $5 credit).

Really don't think reducing blue shell rate was a good idea. Its basically impossible to catch up to a good 1st placer now. Yeah it means I win more races, but its boring as hell at the front dragging shit behind you all day.

Thankfully, MKWii is still around for anyone who wants blue shells all day.

Personally, I enjoy the rewards for fighting your way into first through the initial hail of gunfire, but everyone takes something different away from Mario Kart.
