So what did we learn from this episode?

It was perfectly fine to deceive Oliver with Roy's plan to fake his death by putting himself in danger. His team expects him to understand and he eventually does.

Totally not OK for Oliver to basically do the same to his team though...even though his method is more extreme, they are so quick to write him off even after being told the truth.

I'll just chalk it up to bad writing...as usual...
