Anyone remember quest mode in this game?

I looked at some faqs and couldn't find an answer. Do these walls have any significance? I tried using bombs on them, but to no avail. Just seems weird they'd do it all hollow-like instead of a solid wall like the other dead ends

At first I thought this was about Einhänder and was slightly disappointed, and then I remembered the dungeon crawl is what got me into RPG and introduced me to FFVII.

Ehrgeiz was actually a beat em'up game with Final Fantasy + some game-specific characters.

As far as I know it is the first official game that you can play as Sephiroth (imagine the reaction of FFVII fans back then :D ). I know I went as far as using gameshark to play as Sephiorth in FFVII.

And a FAQ on GameFAQs was claiming that the author had "an uncle" working at Square, and it was possible to play as Zack in FFVII. And you could do it by getting a fucktardly high score in Gold Saucer and some other minigames. Imagine the rumors and shit people were going thru just to extract, just to squeeze a "bit", something else from the game.

I admit I fell for it but those were the dark days of the Internet. That FAQ stayed up for years.

It also has a quest mode (which is what CS is asking about.)

I was reminiscing about those times recently too. I remember buying this one magazine that had a cool section with tips and tricks and secrets for various games, submitted by readers and while of course most of them were genuine, there was always a good number of those rumors, especially for jRPGs and FFVII being the king of all that :D
