Is that with or without the day 1 patch?
Is that with or without the day 1 patch?
I would assume you can't even play online without the patch so likely with since it's been available for a couple days now.
With patch. There's rumors that Netherrealm has said that the "real servers" aren't up until Tuesday or something along those lines, but I can't find a source to validate that. I want to preorder, but a big part of me getting the game was playing online, so I'm afraid to pull the trigger.
"Real servers"? What does that even mean? MKX is peer to peer like every other fighting game ever.
you could, but the patch didn't fix the lag.

Steam is to Blame for the PC version's Problemshttp://www.vg247.com/2015/04/14/mort...aming-service/The reason is believed to be due to how the game handles content downloads. The game files don’t download in full like other games. Instead, about 3GB of files will download initially – supposedly giving you access to early parts of the campaign, while the rest downloads in the background.
The rest of the files are separated into 23 packs that will be installed once they’re downloaded. This download never starts however, and you’ll end up with 3GB of partially unusable files.
This is the first time Steam uses this type of download system.

Doesn't surprise me since the switch from Windows Live to Steam for SF4 ruined the game for many players. Steam is a burning pile of shit.
What? SF4 on steam was messed up because of a bug capcom created when porting and didn't fix. SF4 normally phoned home to psn/xbl/etc. at the start/end of a match and between rounds(and the game pauses to wait for it), but on the steam version it was doing this non-stop. Other fighters on steam like KOF13, skullgirls, etc. never had a similar issue.

Also,
And Krypt unlocks
will catch the story mode on youtube or twitch, but not giving them a dime in support. that's about all one (lost) customer can do.
also the in game Gold used to buy kyrpt unlocks has apparently become incredibly scarce following a day one patch

I'm not even into fighting games but holy shit. Early reviews can't indicate this. What a scumbag thing to do.In a post on Reddit, a user notes how the game’s difficulty has also been increased, and how completing certain boss fights now only rewards the player with 200 gold rather than the 2,500 gold that could be earned prior to the update.
All to get you into spending $20 to say fuck it
