A patch that claims to fix most problems including netcode is now live. To make up for the rough launch, console players get Sub-Zero's Klassic skin and PC players get 10,000 Krypt coins.

So it looks like his signature walk is a special move that grants super armor at least against projectiles.

PC patch that was released a couple days ago had a bug that erased save files. It has since been pulled, but all those people with auto-updaters...
Patch was rereleased today, and some users are reporting the same issue.
This game has just been a disaster from everything but a "we stole your money" standpoint.
Is the net code any better since the first ps4 patch? I played one game where I'm amazed I won as I had a good 1-2 seconds of lag on any command I did. I did enjoy the hell out of single player though, even though it was substantially easier than the last one. That one I couldn't even beat story mode on normal since Shao Khan was such a cheap bitch.
This sucks for PC players, from what I read each time they screw up players need to download 15GB patches :/
bugs issues and netcode aside..
Im enjoying the shit outa this game. The only time i have taken an MK game seriously now i cant stop... steam says i've put 75 hours into it 50 of them hours was getting my ass handed to me in story mode till i learned how footsies and the block button work in this game.
Every time

Combos seem harder to land than in SF because you have to imput them so far in advance. Its hard for me to trust that such a quick imput is going to properly register all of these hits.
I need a lot more practice, but I seriously dig this game.
you have to go into a string knowing it's going to hit, basically.
to get used to this you could play grandmaster sub-zero and use his back1-1 string into either ice ball or clone. ice ball if hit, clone if whiff
the execution in this game is laughably easy at least. people complained that runcancelling was hard.... i figured it out in less than 5 minutes on pad, and i never play pad
Its ironic that you say that because my brother mains GM Sub-zero and without knowing too much outside of watching a few small combo videos, that's the exact string he used to train with.
Looks like I may have to do it myself. I fucking love the huge combos in the game, though, difficulty aside.
