I actually worked on a project for just this, ML algorithm that could read complex legal documents and then create a nearly perfectly accurate summary with relevant links to important highlights, when I moved on they were working on generalizing it to produce valid legal documents based on that data; I've heard they've been very successful. That's like 99% of a paralegal's job right there(least the highly skilled component, robot will have trouble physically filing and sending mail...for now).

On that bit, with automation and driving, atm the safest bits are last yard physical delivery. There'll still be a dude in the van, but not to drive, just haul shit.
However if there is ever a move to standardize road access of mailboxes (esp. if you were to say, lean on standardization of amazon packaging), you just need to stick a couple waldos on the van and boom.

If you can program every game of chess ever on record into a robot you can certainly program every legal statute ever, even the contradictory ones. That should be fun.

Currently, one of the few areas that robots aren't great at, besides sex, is creating new ideas. Google deep mind and others are working on this, but yeah. Phew.

Robots wouldn't even necessarily have to be able to make novel legal arguments. Practically every case ever held is recorded - a human attorney might be able to think up something new but a robot attorney could go through 200+ years of jurisprudence and determine if value = facts of case or some such, and then create a fully cited brief detailing why its client should win. That's essentially all attorneys at the Supreme Court level do.
