Looking for some remedy ideas. To be clear, I'm not talking about the fever blister type sores you get on your lips, but rather the lesions that can appear on the gums and interior of the mouth. I know this is caused by a type of the herpes virus (not the STD kind), and I've had these off and on from childhood to present day. Usually, I rinse with an antiseptic mouthwash or peroxide twice a day, and they disappear in about 3-4 days. I've learned to deal with them as necessary nuisances. The real problem is that every so often, one of these fuckers will appear underneath or on the sides of my tongue. This makes my life Hell. Eating is constantly painful, and I have to be very careful and make myself sound much different to even speak without causing pain. When these happen, the 3-4 days of mouthwash just doesn't cut it. Do any of our BG medical professionals *cough* know of any remedies to get rid of these faster, or at least ease the pain enough so that I don't have to go through a few days of misery?
