We have a microwave that is used to reheat coffee when I leave it sitting on my desk too long and heat water for baby bottles. Everything else it done on the stove or in the toaster oven. It takes a special kind of lazy when you buy pre-made grilled cheese sandwiches...

Well uh. I can assure you I did NOT just buy those. (PB, I really didn't - But if some other flavor, I'd try it.)

While we're on random food things on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Miracle-Frooti.../dp/B004SOMH3M

    I wanna try these!

What in the fuck is a "flavor tripping party"?

I think it sold me on "the taste sensation sweeping the nation".

I've been eating microwavables (lean cuisine, smart ones, etc) pretty much almost always for lunch, and usually for dinner (like 4-5x a week for dinner) for about 9 months now.

I've lost 50 lbs, so I'm not complaining. Sure, there's many better ways I could have gone about this, but I think it worked out pretty well. Lose another 30 lbs or so and I'll be good to go. :D

On topic - there's another brand whose name I can't remember, always $.99 at Walmart. They have a Chicken Asiago that's pretty tasty. That's probably my favorite one. Those steamers just started showing up here in the past few months - they're pretty good, I usually have those for dinner.

    Are you thinking of Michelina's?

I like the mac & cheese for lunches at work.

I take a granola bar, yougurt, and sandwich to work. Maybe some pasta or something. Like all the other underpaid jerks. Meanwhile for some reason one guy eats two boxes of of those frozen flat motzarella sticks.

Something tells me he is in a sexless marriage.

Wife and I were Hot Pocket fiends when we first moved in to our own apartment. She would also throw those Totino's party pizzas in the microwave instead of the oven. Shit looked disgusting. We cook a lot more now and usually only use the microwave for oatmeal or Tyson chicken nuggets. (5 lb panko breaded Tyson nuggets from Sam's fk yes!) Rarely, we'll say "fuck our health" and get a box of Jose Ole steak and cheese chimichangas.

Echoing the prep your own meals and Crock Pot suggestions. Also, I've tried those meals Qal posted. They're alright, but I'm still pretty hungry afterwards, so I try and down a bottled water or two before eating one lol.

Same here. Actually, I'm very picky about ingredients, and this one in particular has nothing too objectionable in it (there is a tiny amount of BHT in the margarine they use, that's all I saw). These things are $1 at Kroger and don't taste too bad - they use half & half in the processed cheese sauce to make it taste better.

I would stay away from the ones that use chicken though... the chicken is that nasty kind that tastes like a sponge.

i second both the decent quality of michelinas and the utter nastiness that is their chicken. anything without the chicken though, is good, although the portion isn't very huge. It is rather cheap though, normally $1 each here in southern cali.
