Help me ID this Windows tablet

Oh I would love for it to be a prototype model, but after reading about micron buying out the tablets memory manufacturer, it would have to be a never released tablet. Which I agree would be pretty fucking cool.

+1 on wanting to know where it came from as well.

it sounds silly, but leaving city out just in case. So the tablets were given to my friend from a friend of his who claims he went dumpster diving at an intel building/office and found a bunch of them. I looked it up and sure enough, there is an intel campus in the particular city that my friend and his friend live in. Not sure why a tech manufacturer wouldn't recycle or destroy them, but that's what he was told. I was actually hoping someone could identify the tablet so I could tell him its not some secret intel prototype.

btw, I just realized it sounds like the tablet's with me but I keep writing 'my friend' as a cover lol.

lol that sounds sketchy as shit. I'm fairly sure they would donate/recycle old tablets. I think yo friend just Ethan Hunt'ed up into Intel's shit and stole the golden egg.

It's slightly older tech, so it's not a big deal, but just the thought y'all found a one of a kind thing is pretty neat. Sadly, if it actually is unique, you won't be finding a power adapter easily if at all. You'd have to make one, or at least make something that charges the battery if not through the plug. You can find some info on that on youtube, but proceed with extreme caution since lithium batteries can really fuck you.

edit: or find a way to supply power without the battery. It's 3.7v, so there might be something less risky you could do to just power it. Hopefully it can power on without a battery in place.

I wouldnt have a clue how to charge that thing, especially since the battery isnt removable it doesnt appear. If you can get the battery out and can identify the positive and negative ends you can take it to a battery shop, or even most cellular phone stores have them and they can place it on a Cadex ( or similar brand ) battery analyzer and charge it. I mean you'd have to do that each time so would be a pain in the ass, I wouldnt know where to begin with fabricating a charger for that beast.

Gave him the advice about the Cadex thing or trying to power it without battery. If we ever get it working, I'll update. Thanks guys.

He removed the battery and said this was the wire connecting it to the tablet. I told him to take it in, but will a battery shop know what to do with it? There weren't any markings or anything to identify the positive and negative ends.

Looks like it'd be the thing going to the motherboard, like how a powersupply connects. Since the battery is not supposed to be taken out, I'm guessing the connector is integrated to the battery instead of having a simple port for the battery to slip into.

If a cell phone retailer can charge phones and such, might be best to take the whole thing (put back together) and see if they can find the right adapter for you to buy outright. It might be within their realm since the battery is around the same voltage as cell phone batteries I think. Worth a shot anyway.
