Today, Ubisoft announced that Tetris Ultimate, the evolution of the world’s most-loved puzzle game, will be available for digital download for the first time on Xbox One, the all-in-one games and entertainment system from Microsoft and PlayStation 4 computer entertainment system this summer to coincide with the 30th anniversary of Tetris, and will be available this fall on PC.

With exciting modes, fun features and unique visuals, Tetris Ultimate allows 1–4 players to face off in six different game modes: Marathon, Endless, Ultra, Sprint, Battle and Power-Up Battle.

During this year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), Alexey Pajitnov, the creator of Tetris; Henk Rogers, managing director of The Tetris Company; and Maya Rogers, president and CEO of Blue Planet Software, the sole agent on the Tetris brand, will be at the Ubisoft booth, South Hall #1023, to showcase Tetris Ultimate and sign autographs on June 10, 2–3 pm. The game will be playable at Ubisoft’s Uplay lounge in The Standard hotel during E3.

They call it Ultimate, yet it seems to lack two of my favourite Tetris modes, which is Blast (bomb pieces in the line needed to remove lines), and that one with the dude who climbs up tetrminos you place to get to a flag.

Actually seems lacking in general compared to EA's last-gen Tetris releases.

We're due in for another Pokemon skinned version of it. Puzzle League on the N64 was the shit.

Game just came out 3DS today, I was unaware of any release dates. Got the digital version for $20.

Jumped straight into online, seems like only 10 people have the game.

Huge complaint is that you have to use d-pad and you cant customize any button mapping. You can tweak the movement speed of horizontal movement but I cant find a good setting. It is really cutting my speed down and forcing mistakes.

Really pissing me off.
