Maybe you beat it by tossing a bone at it and watching the heads beat each other up trying to decide who gets it.
Less then 3 months, even if you just did the daily map every day and thats it >.> Someones not played a korean MMO, where it can take up to "years" to do something at an average of 12-16 hours per day.
Reminds me of nexus of the winds korean MMO grinder, took me about 3 years to get my Ee San Staff (step 2 of a 4 step upgraded staff) at about 12+ hours per day... ah the memories.
To give you an idea
Ee san staff is 4billion hp, 2billion MP
Lv99 = 1000HP/500MP
1,000,000 exp = 100HP or 50MP (this scales up the more stats you get slowly)
Each mob you killed was maybe 1,000ish exp
Game had no grouping system at the time, you basically had to solo it all
So far what SE requires seems pretty casual, to stuff I've done compared to tera, wow for the most part (although wow is goin down casual lane atm I hear)
p.s. when dog head women is released in CT, expecting hentai within a week from JP artists max.
^ And she had some fine-ass tits at that. I always hated killing anything with breasts in that game that wasn't Medusa. The flower lillies were fine as hell.
Man have you guys even played FF3!? Keeping the nostalgia strong with Scylla, though she should in Eureka and not in the Tower QQ
She always had tits and four hundred dog heads, idk why.
You seem to be (wilfully?) ignorant of the fact that all of the aforementioned are expressly designed to prevent people from being done in a weekend and going back to the bitching you're currently doing about having nothing to do but bitch. Several of your complaints are even in direct conflict with one another, because on one hand you hate low drop rates, but on the other you also hate the guaranteed progress of the Braves portion of the Zodiac trials.
I wouldn't mind an item that took years to get, if it had even more years of shelf life.
The problem with the Novus, is that its a 2 month grind or an item that will only be relevant 1 month tops before ilevel 130 gear is a thing.
Wasn't it designed to take about as long to complete as the next major patch? That sounds reasonable. It's just three months worth of dailies for the most part for a side activity of upgrading your weapon. By the time you finish the next patch is released giving you something to use your newly upgraded weapon on (dungeons, coil, CT). At least, that's my perspective of their reasoning.
The most frustrating part is that the original timetable for Novus would have put it in line to be finished right around 2.3. Delaying it a month (so 30-40 alexandrite) means that NOT burning through Bray or Fates has you finishing near the end of August. I was hoping to be done with this stage before then, dangit.
That's reasonable to me. Doing the minimum gets you finished in time for the next stage, pushing harder lets you be able to use it on current content.
I can honestly agree with the atma drops. Tank mount requirement isn't that ridiculous, only that people don't want to grind T1-5 or 2.1 Primals anymore. Everything else is negligible -- he had since made it perfectly clear that relic questline would be a long grind, all things considered. Anyone complaining about the grind expected results within 1-2 weeks, which is pretty insane. You can't expect the team to just hand out gear, people will complain that they have "nothing to do" afterwards.
1st Relic: "That was too easy. Give us something more substantial!"
Yoshi P.: Ok sure.
2nd Relic: "This is too hard/time consuming. Give us something easier!"
Damned if you do, ect, ect...
I wouldn't say Atma, Animous and Novus are hard. They are time sinks, nothing involved other than time which is an artificial difficulty.
I don't mind the time per say, I mind grinding old, primarily low level content. I just returned to the game after not playing since 1.0, so I missed the Fate leveling phase, and I'm already tired of running them. If I could at least do them on other classes I still need to level, while having a zenith (or later animus) in my inventory, I wouldn't mind.
While its something to do, its not something new to do, by any means.
A grind is a grind no matter if it's old or new content. The fact you're grinding means you're going to get bored of any content eventually.
So did everyone bitch about the daily grind for the beastmen tribes like this? They're as equally optional as content as these weapons.
That's a shitty comparison and you know it. Beastman tribe quests are more or less self contained. Weapons are ubiquitously used in battle content and are the most important part of anyone's gearset.
Oh, is this the only way to get a great weapon? Would it be faster to get a coil weapon? My point is this is optional. If you don't like the grind, don't do it. You have alternative means of obtaining other equally powerful weapons.
Novus weapons are the only customizable i110 (and eventually beyond) weapon in the game at present. I can't make the Piety on my High Allagan Grimoire of Healing disappear in favour of a better stat, I could make my Omnilex Novus not be Spell Speed based.
I don't like the grind, I didn't do it. However Novus weapons are the only i110 weapon you can control every bit of, and the only stronger weapons are RNG based on top of the Coil clear. My main point was comparing it to Beast Tribe is absolutely pants on head retarded as is trying to downplay the appeal/usefulness of a customized weapon.
