I've only ever pre-ordered FFXI and ToAU. I will gladly buy this off GoG and, most likely, celebrate the recent Denuvo hax by grabbing RotR off the community.

UI is full on Destiny mode
As low as 14 FPS when landing on Planets, Steady 30 everywhere else
The resource procurement is very similar to Starbound. Shoot it until you get what you need.
Those videos don't get me any more excited for the game, in fact maybe even less so. Just seems you do the same repetitive tasks over and over again until you reach the center.
Now that the floodgates of information/videos have opened, I'm just not impressed by what I'm seeing. It all just looks so boring.
The developers and the legion of knob slobbers waiting for the game kept saying things like "You're not seeing the full experience! There's so much hidden stuff! etc." Or in the last week or so it was "The day one patch changes everything, ignore everything you've seen cause it gets so much better!"
There probably is a lot more hidden stuff that you're not going to find in initial impressions from people just starting the game in the first two days.
But it's essentially the same core gameplay that was shown two years ago at E3. If that wasn't interesting to you at that time then I don't imagine why you would expect to be monumentally different.

Since not on Amazon for PC I'll just wait till its half price or less.
This game doesn't look very good fam
I've enjoyed it so far. Most games are pretty intense and in your face, so it's a nice change of pace. Something I'll dick around with here and there when I need to relax.
I didn't think I'd like it much tbh, but it's surprisingly enjoyable .

I was in that category of people who saw the videos and went "meh." I went on a pre-order spree and figured I'd give it a go.

This is exactly what I was expecting lol.
My plan is to play while I ride on my indoor bike. Something that isn't terrible distracting but enough to distract from the movements

I'm just really confused by the people who are underwhelmed because it's just an exploration game. That's always been what it was advertised as. Equally confusing are the people who swear there's some secret content and it's magically going to change to a different kind of game when you play it.

The game's hype train got out of control, which was definitely fed by the developers giving intentionally obtuse answers to questions (just go look at the replies they gave in regards to multiplayer) about the game and constantly implying about hidden/secret stuff.
Also, it shouldn't be $60
There is very little action but that's not to say that it's not fun. I was thrown on a harsh planet and had to find caves to get my temp back up (I was on a frozen planet). I like that this is a game that I will play when watching Netflix or anime or something other than focusing on games. Like grinding in JRPGs!
