Here's a nice long list of everything Sean Murray/Hello Games lied about and/or failed to deliver.

It's annoying that the jetpack boosters should synergize with the jetpack itself, but can't because it's shoved into a corner by default with no way to move the items around it.

Game was a giant lie, they were in it just for the money
Tried out a "demo" of this for about 45 minutes last night. It's better than I was expecting from all the negative hype, but I'd be pissed if I had paid $60 for it. I'll give it another go when I'm less distracted. Maybe it'll be a future Steam-sale purchase.
So I found out last night that, unlike everything else, the Hyperdrive upgrades MUST be attached to the Hyperdrive to get the benefit of being able to jump to certain systems. Once I find enough aluminium I should be able to attach them via my 3rd upgrade. Also I may get a little extra to make a hat to keep the voices from the monoliths out.
People assuming that he got death threats given how hardcore some of the fanboyism on that subreddit is.

It was also showing up as the number one search result for No Man's Sky for multiple search engines because of the all replies/upvotes.

people on reddit are saying its still crashing multiple times for them :/ someone else posted he fell through his planet after the patch also. I haven't crashed since I downloaded the patched and got back into it again. I stoped playing like 6 days ago because I was crashing every 5 minutes on the planet I was on , get in ship crash, open menu crash, touch something crash, craft something crash so I said fuck it and it actually crashed when I quit the game…
I'm getting the game tomorrow night for my PC. Hopefully my PC can handle it. Maybe this patch + the NVidia driver update that came out a couple days ago will enable my PC to run the game smoothly.
Honestly I feel like the game's running worse with the new driver than it was before. Once I turned off gsync the stuttering stopped, but ever since the driver update there are micro-stutters occasionally. Not as bad as default settings at launch, but still existent.
I'll try it out at standard settings at the start. I did check out a couple of benchmark sites, and my processor and RAM are well above the min. requirements, but my GPU falls short. If it sucks, I'll try adjusting the settings to low and see how it runs. If it still sucks, then I'll just wait until I can get myself enough scratch for a GPU upgrade.
