Do you guys follow these leagues with any consistency? When I watch, I always see the champion instead of the player (unlike NBA, for example), so it's kinda hard for me really follow the teams or players, and so I'm never really invested. I'll watch single games for entertainment value, but that's it, and for the most part, I couldn't care less who's who.

Did you guys have this problem? I mean, if they hid all the players names and just showed the champions, would you guys be able to consistently tell which teams were which?

Yeah, EU/NA/LCK. I do however tend to play a game (not League) when the matchup itself isn't interesting or my fantasy players aren't in and have that running on 2nd monitor. That said, it can punish you like I didn't watch most of the GMB vs CW and it turned out to be one of the best games so far.

Like any sports event, the more you watch games/follow teams, the more you'll be able to distinguish between players/teams. An easy example for me would be SKT. Even without names, it's easy to tell if Faker or Easyhoon is playing. I lost some interesting in following the scene last spring/summer break, but the fantasy league got me back for good.

This game. Be 10k ahead in early game to throw everything away. But wait, with 2 inhibs down the enemy team suddenly decides to throw even harder. Jesus. Rush should've just base raced them.

I don't watch a lot of LCS any more, but I still watch every match from OGN and as much as I can from LPL. My interest lies in the macro strategy that exists at the pro level, so I only become a fan of teams that do something really interesting with their team comps or play around the map. For example, the way the season 3 KT Bullets set up plays for dragon and Baron that consistently allowed them to get those objectives without the need for a team fight was so much fun to watch. However, not being a fan of the teams doesn't detract from my enjoyment from watching the way teams build and play out their compositions.

Like Aevis said, if you watch a lot then you can tell who the players are. GMB's Xerath or Faker's Ezreal have their subtleties that stand out. JinAir has a patient style that works well with the poke comps that they like running, so it's easy to tell when they are playing. I'm sure people that watch a lot of LCS can make the same distinction between some of those teams too.

MSI is in Tallahassee? May as well be fucking Alaska. Let's go to shitty 3rd tier Florida city instead of a major city that's easy to get to with more of our fans.

    Fucking Riot is retarded.

Altec switches roles and is now the support of Winterfox. Imagine, their former support is moved to a sub and their former coach Paragon is their new ADC.

i honestly dont know who is worse between dig and cst, but this game is hilariously bad and is akin to watching a train wreck. can they both be relegated?

That was a well played game. Granted, I haven't watched much LCS this season, but that was the highest level LCS game I've seen. I think if TIP had forced team fights before that Baron steal, the game could have been a bit more lopsided, but I don't blame them for trying playing it out a little more conservatively with such a big lead. Anyway, I hope C9 plays this well at IEM so we get some high quality matches to watch.

IEM is over, NA/EU LCS continues and to celebrate this, Winterfox decided to put Gleeb back on support and Altec on ADC. I guess they can't live without their weekly dose of roster swaps and Helios won't allow them to swap out Avalon.

I mean it's great they realized that their botlane was never the problem to begin with, but yeah.

While mediocre quality in plays, this surely is one of the most entertaining LCS evening in weeks.
